E1 Pro Dash Cam

This tiny but powerful front facing dash cam is amazing. It is tiny (I put a AA battery in the pictures for size reference), compact, and packed full of features like: 4K Video, Wi-Fi, Smart Voice Control, GPS, and much much more. In the box you have the everything you need to install the camera in your vehicle. You have your GPS Adhesive Mount, 2 Electrostatic stickers so you can attach to your windshield, a crobar/pry tool to help you tuck your wire/cable for the perfect clean install, adhesive cable clips, your car charge cable along with an extra USB A to C data cable, and also a Circular Polarizer (CPL) filter as an added bonus to reduce glare and reflection from the windshield. Installation was a breeze and only took about 10-15 minutes. Powering up the unit takes you through the setup process which was simple and intuitive. Please note that I tried using a spare microSD card that I had laying around which turned out to be too slow to keep up with recording 4K video (which the dashcam prompted me with the warning). I then switched to one of the cards recommended on Vantrue’s support site (using SanDisk High Endurance 512 GB) and everything worked like a charm. The dashcam does get quite hot when recording 4K video but the manufacturer assured me that it was normal and that the camera program has a high temperature protection mechanism, and will automatically shut down if the temperature is too high. Driving around the area on a sunny day produced amazing quality video. I’ll try to upload a sample if Amazon will allow…not sure about file size limits (apologies for the tiny smudge on the windshield…forgot to clean windshield prior to recording). I’ve been a long time Vantrue Dashcam user and absolutely love their products. Vantrue support has bee fantastic when needed. They make phenomenal dashcams and continue making them even better! I use Vantrue Dashcams for all our vehicles. They are great and they are built to last, even in the hot Texas Summer!

I’ve been using the Vantrue E1 Pro for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The camera is small and doesn’t block my view while driving, but the video quality is excellent sharp 4K footage even in foggy or low-light conditions. I took video in SF in low light foggy day. One feature I really like is the voice control. It’s super convenient to just say the command and have it start recording or take a photo while keeping my hands on the wheel. The mobile app works smoothly for reviewing clips and downloading videos directly to my phone, which saves a lot of time. I also installed the included CPL (polarizing) filter and it really helps reduce reflections from the windshield and makes the image look more vivid and clear, especially when driving along the coast. Overall, the Vantrue E1 Pro feels well built, easy to set up, and perfect for capturing scenic drives or daily commutes. I’ve taken it around San Francisco. Highly recommend it!

I purchased on Prime day for $99, which I thought was a good price to get my first dash cam, 4k no less. Seems to work well, and I use the app to view the videos. A little learning curve on the different options, SD card specs, and WiFi operations. App is decent. Unit is nice and small, 4k video looks good after using for about a week. I did a basic install, routing the cable in my in my truck. The unit does get pretty hot and feels like a hot potato if you hold right after prolonged use, but I know it’s the super capacitor for the high res. I used on 100+ degree days with no issues. I don’t drive much at night so haven’t tested that yet. I want to get one for rear view.

Camera quality is good—even in the late evening you can clearly read license plate numbers of cars driving in the same direction as you. BUT plates from cars coming in the opposite direction are not very clear, likely because the camera records at 30fps instead of 60fps. It’s easy to install, the viewing angle is good, and the screen size is also nice, video download is straightforward. The only concern is that it gets hot. Honestly, as long as it doesn’t melt, I’m fine with it.

I’m pretty happy with this dash cam, it is fairly inexpensive model. It gives me peace of mind while driving, and enough detail in video that I feel like I’d have a solid record if something happened. Good daylight video picks up road signs, cars, even license plates at a distance. Night captures are decent overall. Putting it on the windshield was straightforward: the magnetic/adhesive mount made setup simple, the small “black-box” tucks behind the rear-view mirror which is nice if you don’t want a bulky windshield gadget. If you want an affordable, easy-to-use dash cam that gives solid daytime footage, good night performance, and useful features — it is a very solid buy. After an hour or more of driving, the unit gets noticeably warm. I think it is good for daily drivers or commuters who want a simple front-facing dash cam to record normal driving conditions with good video quality.

Me decanté a un sin conocer esta marca y he de decir que, aunque llevo pocos días con ella, estoy súper contento con la compra. Calidad excepcional a un precio bastante moderado. En comparación con otras marcas. Pequeña compacta y a todo el que esté pensando en comprarse una cámara de este estilo se la recomiendo porque no se va arrepentir.

Im a proffesional drivers who uses daschams to record every minute of my driving so im quite familiar with how unreliable dashcams can be. Ive tried many of the Chinese brands, and Nextbase cameras. No matter the price, the functionality of the Apps are ALWAYS absolutely diabolical and theyve nearly always been very unreliable. Vantrue and Viofo are probably the only well known camera brands I haven't tried. And considering I can't swap Viofos between vehicles due to no suction mounts being available, I thought I'd ditch my Nextbase and give this Vantrue a go! First things first, the aesthetic quality is outstanding, the attention to detail in the design of the box and the camera itself is superb. It really feels like youre opening a high end product. The camera functionality is superb, the menus easy to navigate, and all settings can be adjusted from the App if you'd prefer. The app, unlike most actually functions, most are horrific, always crashing or refusing to function. My nextbase app is basically unusable. This connects quickly, downloads fast and has never crashed on me yet. The camera video quality is 4k, and obviously fantastic as a result, the Plate pix function does work at making number plates slightly more readable by removing the glare, but it does darken the overall video quite considerably. I would prefer a 60fps function as 30fps always struggles to capture numberplates that are moving. It has a super wide angle lense, which is obviously a good thing, however its so wide it makes positioning the camera awkward as it always captures a portion of the unswept area of windscreen which makes the corner of the video appear dirty. But moving it further away from that area means the right hand corner of the video captures the plastic cover for all of the sensors behind the rear view mirror. Annoying for me, but wont affect everyone. Haven't had any issues with overheating, but we shall see what happens in the summer. 4k cameras always get a little warm. Small ones like this always struggles the most. Overall, a good camera so far. **edit** After about 1 months use i found this to be totally useless at capturing registration plates in anything but bright sun. It performs worse than a 6 year old 1080p 60fps dascham. Night performance is beyond disappointing

I bought this Dash camera about 1 year ago. The video quality is awesome; I can read license plates of other cars even at night. Best part is its size; it does not obstruct your view like other dash cams, it is really small. I would recommend getting the polarizing filter, no glare from the sun or other light sources once I attached the polarizing filter. One thing to note is that the camera runs a bit hot during summer, I think it is due to its compact size but does not overheat or crash. The video quality and the app is really good, one of my best purchases from amazon so far.
