Excellent Starter Kit, Good Quality, Endless Possibiliities!
I really liked how this kit came with more than just blank boards, a good bit of Dupont pin style header pins that can be trimmed easily for right amount of pins and placement of them as well!I really enjoy making things automate and work well with Arduino and with these I can make my own sensor shields to stack extremely easily, basically now I use my own small boards to take the place of soldered and heat shrinked messes of unorganized wiring! This kit comes in a nice little transparent container that is not only reusable but it's so full when you get it I had a hard time closing it back up!Lots of Male pin rails both 90 degree and straight as well as lots of female rails as well! It's really hard to think of anything not good about this kit, especially for the money. Still earned no question 5 star excellent rating however I would have gladly paid a little extra if the kit had anyway to connect pins to pins solder wise from opposite ends of the boards..The largest boards in the kit are like 24 x 17 decent sized holes and can fit in palm of my hand, but the variety of widths and lengths are very useful for different projects and or prototypes!Obviously you will need some soldering practice and this is great fine tuning of your skills! A soldering gun or iron, some good tips, a good way to tin clean and keep tips clean and common sense are necessary for easier minimal hassle of your projects. Last and many say optional if you use certain rosin core solder but to me a must have is good flux. You can use a cheap can of it just for cleaning your solder tips and I recently bought from Amazon also a liquid flux pen similar to a sharpie but clear, and it works extremely well. All in all if you are looking to start prototyping or just need the extra parts pins or whatever you cant go wrong with this kit!

Seriously great starter pack
I wish someone would have showed me this when first starting to create electronic circuits. This kit has a lot of the pieces you may not consider purchasing, or even know exist, when starting out with electronics. This kit will enable you to get started quickly. Especially handy is the Screw Terminal Blocks that come in the kit, which allow you to swap out wires, more easily testing and expanding circuits, as well as providing power or input/output. Don't forget where you put the baggie of jumpers because you will soon find them very useful as well. When first trying to buy leads/pins/headers, there are very many that look very similar, or at least look to serve the same purpose. The straight male and female headers found in this kit are the 'better' kind, which will save you some hassle and heartache such as buying male headers that your jumpers fall right off of, etc.

A decent parts assortment for "hardware hackers"
First: the package arrived filled with the advertised items - nothing "missing, etc."Second: I really like the plastic storage case - it holds everything and the cover latch is VERY SECURE.Third: the individual parts are NEATLY packaged in "zip lock" bags - very handy in keeping the "loose/small" stuff from "getting away from you".Last night I finally used one of the boards for a project. THESE BOARDS ARE REALLY TOUGH! I needed to "cut holes" in the board for mounting components and my 1/32" Dremel cutter "struggled" to get through the board material (I did eventually succeed! :) ). Soldering is a BREEZE! the double-sided "thru holes" are well-tinned and accept/flow solder well. The THICKNESS of the boards is great - they are VERY RIGID and, IMO, not prone to "bending, etc." under "normal handling/use". However, like any circuit board material, they will bend/break when sufficient stress/force is applied, but one would really have to be "ham-handed, etc." to "purposely" fracture/break these boards. Finally, the CONFORMAL COATING on the boards gives them a nice appearance and adds to their strength. The assortment of "pin strips" is very welcome. The inclusion of 90-degree terminals is a big plus! They "snap apart" very easily if you only need Just A Couple - I used my Leatherman pliers rather than wire cutters.Haven't used the female "edge connectors" yet, but I imagine they'll be As Easy To Use as the "pin strips".Finally, the bag of "jumpers" cannot be overlooked as we all know how easy it is to lose these things, especially when working on computer motherboards. The fact they're NOT BLACK is a plus in terms of immediate "visibility". Kudos to Austor for adding them to this kit!In short, I'm very glad I bought this item...

Overall Great Product
The boards were just slight thicker than a standard board but the only way to tell is if you put a caliper on it and measured it. Additionally these boards are exceptionally tough for you to cut holes in will take a few seconds. Good value for money.

Good bundle
Nice quality on the boards with double sided plated through holes.Very easy to cut with metal snips/cutter to make small double sided projects.Love the extra connectors and plastic storage case included.

Great Value & Adaptability!
I bought this kit so I can move an internal & risky to change industrial controller memory battery; moving the plug-in battery external to the controller. The kit allows much flexibility to fabricate an add-on board to the controller. A second, external board will hold the new battery socket. This avoids electrostatic discharge issues and the risk of playing the Operation Game; while changing the memory battery on a live controller with shaky hands and live I.C.’s nearby.Great value for the money!
