Worked great for Amylase science experiment
Used this for a science class experiment testing the effect of amylase on starch. The vial on the right is just Benedict’s solution, the vial labeled C has Benedict’s solution and saltine cracker water in it, and the vial labeled D has amylase, cracker water, and Benedict’s solution in it, and both C and D were left for 30min in a hot water bath. As you can see, the amylase broke down the starch into sugar and the indicator turned orange as a result. Success! FYI the vials on the left have iodine in them to prove the cracker water contained starch.
