Price was right, the nameplate looks professional, and the recipient was very happy when they received it. Decent quality and looks rich and not cheap.

Very nice and elegant. Engraving was fine. One note of caution if giving as a gift for a judge to use on a daily basis. For a high volume court, while it is well made, I cannot judge whether it would stand up to years of hard banging. I bought as a retirement gift. It is a mid sized gavel. I would definitely by again as a retirement gift or for judges with a low volume of cases per day.
