I love variable speed compressor ACs
Performs much better than my previous unit in my 38' RV. It is super quiet and efficient. The advantage of variable speed compressors is they can control humidity much better. 78 degrees on my old unit was unbearable where on this unit it feels cool...75 is chilly. Since the unit runs constantly (at low power) the temp is more consistent/stable, no temp swings like the older units. Silence and cool/dry air at night is so much nicer! I think I'm saving a bit more than 50% which matters to me since I am fully solar. You should know before buying:I bought the ducted unit and it was not so easy to adapt as the ceiling display/vent board (ADB) had a light and vent in the way. My old unit did not have a ceiling module. You should ensure you have the unobstructed space to mount the ADB or plan around it. Also, my AC and return ducts are side-by-side and not as it expects in the installation manual. Rebuilding duct forms with foam and silver tape is really not a big deal though. Some manuals may suggest the ADB comes with this unit..it does not. There is a seperate SKU for the ADB and it is required since it has the thermostat control and display module.I noticed after installation that a lot of water collects below the condenser coil. The bottom of the unit is molded plastic and it has a sort of built-in pan. Condensate will eventually overflow this shallow pan and exit through a hole (good) but I've seen the condenser sitting in a full pan of water and the fan splashing the water everywhere and that seems bad. There are many egress holes in the bottom so I don't get why not one in the pan. I am considering drilling a small hole to allow it to drain like a normal home AC drain pan because this just seems so obvious but it's not in the manual. Possibly this was causing the other user's freezing issue but I haven't encountered this in Florida.

Great price for this high quality AC
Because of the weight of this item (90 lbs.), it had to be shipped by Dorhn Transport and they had to confirm delivery with me before delivering. I'm difficult to reach because I can't have my phone with me at work but they found a way and got it delivered. Excellent customer service from the seller and the shipper. The product is also top notch. The difficult part is getting it on the roof. After that, all the connections are simple. The instructions are a little worthless so I watched a great video from eTrailer. I would have preferred to buy from eTrailer but I save more than $300 ordering here.

UNIT NEVER TURNS FAN OFF
THIS UNIT IN AUTO MODE WILL NOT TURN FAN OFF WHEN TEMP IS REACHED. Runs until you turn unit off, so all the BS about saving battery just drained your battery when it's hot days and cool nights. I wish I had read that, I would not have purchased this unit. Tech support says its designed to never shut off. I am so disappointed that I purchased three of these and now have to worry about turning off and on manually.

Only A/C unit in box
Just received the unit. Have not installed yet. Wanted to tell you that only the A/C unit comes in the box. The face plate, remote thermastat and bolts are sold in a seperate kit. Will update review after install and use.UPDATE: Had to return original unit. After we got it up on RV and went to bolt it down, there was nothing in the holes on the unit to screw bolts into.Re-ordered from another company that could get it here quicker. The unit works great. So quiet compared to Furrion Chill 15k btu. It ramps up and down as needed. We watched tv with the volume below 50% for the first time. The Chill Cube has kept up with the heat we have had, so far, in Arizona. 97 degrees outside, around 71 inside.I recommend the Furrion Chill Cube. You'll need to tip it up and check the mounting holes for bolt anchors before you take the time to put up on roof.

Awesome unit...sketchy 3rd party shipping
awesome unit....but BEWARE you need to order the inside ADB set up that comes with the remote, botls, roof bracket etc. Also BE Aware that this company uses a 3RD party shipping company that sucks at updating the shipping details. So hard telling when unit will arrive according to their updates....I had to call the trucking companys dispatch to get an answer. BUT the unit works very well, draws very little amps, (11 amps) and is very quiet. Will probably replace my coleman mach 3 with this one with the ducted version. Other than the sketchy shiiping...I would definitely recommed

Bad customer service
Just purchased this unit less than a week ago to replace my 28 year old 13.5k btu rooftop ac unit. I own a 30 ft 1997 Coachmen Mirada with no slides. According to the product description this unit is approximately 18k btu. The unit did install very easily was basically plug and play. The problem is it pushes out about half the amount of air as my old ac and no where near as cold. I mis-read the description (my own stupidity) for the distribution box and thought it had vents facing front and back. I did find that they make a distribution box with the vents I need. Upon reading the reviews of the correct distribution box it shows multiple complaints about the distribution box causing the ac unit to freeze and cuts down the airflow even more. I contacted the company to see if the distribution box problems had been corrected before I waste money buying one but they have failed to respond to my emails as well as phone calls just get transferred to no where. The distribution box that came with the unit can barely keep the front end of the RV below 78 degrees. Not sure if it has a bad fan or compressor. Will update if they finally get back with me.
