Q: Is this product safe to use with potable water?

The nitrile rubber that we use is not rated for potable water.

No, the funnel is all one piece.

Q: What's the large funnel's diameter where it's flexible and also at the point where the main body stops narrowing?

Large funnel: Diameter at top of mouth opening - 5-11/16" Diameter at base of bowl - 2-3/16" Diameter inside tube - 1-1/4" Diameter at bottom tip - 1/2" (can be trimmed to increase hole size) Small funnel: Diameter at top of mouth opening - 4" Diameter at base of bowl - 1-1/2" Diameter inside tube - 7/8" Diameter at bottom tip - 3/8" (can be trimmed to increase hole size) All of the above are inside diameters.

Q: will this stay in place in a curved position without holding it?

This is a quality material product but the picture is deceiving. It will not stay bent on its own. I had to return it because of this. You can bend it but if you will need to hold it to stay in its position.
