This item is 100% functional for what I bought it for. However, like every other kind of device, holster, brace, etc... that will be worn over bare skin and secured with velcro. They attach the barbs on the piece of the garment that will overlapping the loops pointing towards the body. So should the strap or whatever part of a garment not align perfectly, especially in more tender areas of the body, it's the barbs making contact with the skin instead of the loops that would be a thousand times more tolerable than just 2 or 3 of those barbs, sticking you in the ass all day. Forcing me to add a pad to prevent it. I'm not a engineer or a genius, but is the function of velcro superior with the barbs overlapping the loops than vice versa? If not, point the loops towards the body. Velcro has been around so long, and nobody has bitched loud enough about it yet. They need to have to wear velcro g-strings everyday for a week. Update: I realized the strap that goes between the legs can be flipped, turning them away from the skin. I suggest they be shipped that way. The overlapping waist belt has the teeth pointing towards the skin but is wide enough to line the edges evenly and prevent the pricks. And since the pricks were my only complaint and I have eliminated them, I uppgrade my original review to a *****

This is a very good belt for the price. I have another belt and use a thinner pad than the pillow that comes with this belt. At first I used this belt with no additional pad. Then I got the other belt and use the thinner pad with this belt and it makes this belt even better. Perhaps they will consider a second thinner pad as an option at a slightly higher price. Great belt, fits well, and provides good support. I can recommend this belt.

Simply put, the best Inguinal hernia belt on the market. I have bought a few different ones from various companies. Some worked pretty well but had other drawbacks that I had to live with. Saw these on Amazon and for the price figured I didn't have much to loose since I was spending $30 and up on other belts with limited success. My inguinal hernia is on my left side. Have had since 2019. This belt is the easiest and lest complicated belt that I ever put on. Right away because of the size of the pad felt immediate relief. The waistband is very wide, so there is a lot of support and it doesn't "move around" or slide down like other belts would. Easily gave it 5 stars and just ordered another for a spare.

Just haded couple of days now and feel the potential in keeping left inguinal under control. Wore to work and during my regular fitness routine with caution. So far very satisfied and happy to be able to have a product serve your need. Could use a slightly smaller velcro cushion piece. One supplied is good if severe condition. Well made and easy to adapt as you wear longer. For #1, keep underwear opening to opposite side of hernia so you have quick access, my advice.

This is SMALL. I can just make it work. My waist is 38 any larger and this hernia belt would be too small. However did come promptly.

Can not wear with clothing too bulky and don't help at all

Highly recommend for holding that hernia in during the work day until you xan set-up a proper fix in the future. Wear the right undies and should be fine and don't over tighten the band. Enjoy!!!

Hubby had inguinal hernia and wasn't able to get in for surgery for several weeks. This belt literally saved him!!! Highly recommend, only negative was that the strap that goes between the legs is velcro, so it rubbed on the skin if not placed properly. Kept him comfortable until his surgery date.

Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Gurt besteht um die Hüfte aus breitem Elasto-Band, das mittels Klettverschluss justierbar ist. Das eigentliche "Hernien-Pad" ist an einem dünneren Elasto-Band (ebenfalls über Klett verstellbar) sowohl links als auch rechtseitig gut positionierbar. Mitgeliefert wird eine Art Kissen, dass an das "Hernien-Pad" angeklettet werden kann und dann noch stärkeren Druck auf den Leistenbruch ausübt. Alles ist sehr gut verstellbar, so dass der Tragekomfort sehr gut ist. Tatsächlich merke ich den Gurt über den Tag schon nach wenigen Minuten praktisch gar nicht mehr - und er ist auch unter der Hose unsichtbar. Das zusätzliche Pad nutze ich allerdings nicht, da der Druck auf die Bruchstelle bei mir auch so schon ausreichend stark ist. Die Funktion ist insgesamt also einwandfrei und der Preis wirklich günstig. Ich habe den Gurt gleich nochmal bestellt, damit ich einen zweiten habe, während der andere gewaschen wird. Bei dem günstigen Preis wirklich kein Thema.

Mein Mann hatte nach 2 Fehldiagnosen im Urlaub eine tolle Ärztin, die nur durch eine Telefonische Terminanfrage und kurze Erklärung des Problems gewusst, daß mein Mann einen Keistenbruch hatte,der des öfteren rausrutschte.Vom Urlaub hatte er nucht viel,da laufen längere Strecken nicht möglich waren. Am Ende wurde uns dieser Artikel empfohlen, worüber mein Mann sehr erfreut und begeistert war.Es war zwar ein etwas anderes Gefühl diesen Gürtel um zu haben,ähnlich die Sumo Ringer ,es es war eine wunderbare Hilfe,da er wieder seinen normalen Tag verbringen konnte ,ohne sich ständig setzten und auf den Bruch zu drücken,damit dieser wieder reinzuschauen,also auf alle Fälle eine absolute Erleichterung und wir empfehlen dies sehr gerne weiter.Bis zur op was sich dann als einen linken und rechten heraus stellte.
