Finally A Worthy Dock for my LeGo!
The media could not be loaded. Finally, they actually have a docking station for the LeGo (Legion Go).The usd c charging works, allowing it to charge while playing games, listening to music, watching movies/shows, and even browsing the web or performing work/school tasks. The charging cable that is on the dock is also on the same side as the charging port on the LeGo and the cable itself is long and thick enough to bend properly without being akward and won't damage as easily as the other brands. This dock has 6 ports: 2 usb c port (1 for the charger and the other for connecting any devices), 1 ethernet port, 2 usb 3.0, and 1 HDMI.With the docking station, the LeGo actually acts like a mini pc, allowing to connect a portable DVD drive to watch, listen, or rip CDs and DVDs/Blu-ray or even installing apps off of disc. Not only that, the kick stand on the device can be retired in favor of the dock to keep it standing in tabletop mode. The dock is pricey compared to other docking stations for other handheld gaming pc, but most of the others are for RoG, Steam Deck, or even MSI and NOT for LeGo.Its worth it if you can buy the dock, but if you can, wait for it to go on sale or try to find one that is off brand, priced decently, and the charging cable on the dock is on the same side as the Legion Go.

Versus the Skull & Co. convex thumb grips.
I have to say, these are pretty nice. Makes the Legion Go's sticks feel a lot nicer. From the photos, I was expecting to use either the convex or flat with the logo, but surprisingly I prefer the concave ones (third in the stock photo).I don't feel my thumbs slipping off any longer and the slightly larger surface area makes an immense difference in comfort over time. They seem to resemble the grip I get from my Xbox Elite V2, which is actually great for most games in my experience. The handheld just feels a lot less cheap with this simple addition, along with a TPU case. You may know the Legion Go's controllers feel kind of hollow, so they can use all the help they can get and these two accessories will get you closer to a more premium feel. Now, on to the comparison. The Skull and Co. thumb grips garner tons of praise online and I'm going to say they're overrated. Yes, they feel nice, but between the extra grip on the sides and the skull logo itself being lightly textured grippy, it's too much. To the eye it's subtle for the skull logo, but I feel the difference is significant in actual usage. I don't like consciously feeling the grip during gameplay and I find that rather distracting.I think that's where Microsoft got it right with the Elite V2 stock thumb grips. You don't need a grippy texture over much of the surface of thumb grips. The sides having that grip is adequate and helps secure your thumbs down with just that, but hey, YMMV.Back to the Lenovo grips. I think the convex type exhibit the same issue as the Skull & Co. and that's that they're too grippy. The flat thumb grips have a slightly nicer size versus the concave Lenovo, more height, but they don't have enough grip on the sides. The concave are the sweet spot in my book as they basically retain the stock height for the joysticks, add enough surface area, and in the end refine the experience by an impressive amount.I give the package a 4/5 because I'm only using one pair of the grips, but that's enough to warrant the asking price.

Steam OS
I'm going to start by saying I do NOT run windows on this. Steam OS is installed. With that being said that's how I'm reviewing it. For me this is leaps and bounds better than the ROG Ally. The 8' screen is wonderful, the ergonomics are perfect. I can game on this for hours without feeling cramped or tired ect ect. In all honesty this is a bit better than the steam deck. not a ton better, but enough that it is worth it to consider instead of the deck. Games run marginally better than on a deck as well. So my rule of thumb is, if the deck runs something at 60 fps, this will do 70+, 30 fps, this will do 40+ ect ect. battery life is hit and miss depending on what you're playing. The wife loves to play sonic and can literally go 6+ hours without a charge. Some titles its less than 2 hours. For all those wondering is the LED's work on steam OS, they pushed an update out that made them work. There are tons of reviews of these things all over. They are 100% worth it if youre going for Steam OS. if not.... the Z1 extreme is what youre looking for.

2 month update for Legion Go Dock
(Update)I will leave my original comment at the bottom but this is an update to what I thought was a great addition to my setup. The dock is capped at 45w power delivery. This really limits the power that the legion go receives as well as any peripherals. Due to the dock giving off less power than required, the devices runs hotter and I’ve experienced three seperate occasions where my Legion Go has overheated and turned off. After switching back to an Anker 11-1 usb-c hub, my Legion Go is functioning much better with the same power cable and peripherals connected. Great concept but bad delivery.(Original post)This dock alone inspired me to reorganize my whole setup. It does exactly what it’s supposed to and I have no complaints. The quality is very nice. Strong metal and solid rubber to keep things in place in the dock and as far as the footing and stability goes. Didn’t really notice charging speeds but I can say it maintains the charge, no issues at all. I have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected with no issues or lag at all. I’m truly satisfied.
