I recently purchased this beginner drone, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Ease of operation is one of its standout features. The flip is amazing. All the things you can do with this drone. Weight is as they say, below the limit that would require registration. Flew this a mile away with flawless control (the further you go the higher you should fly). No problem flying in 15 mph winds. I especially love the remote that came with it (screen built in) no need for a cell phone for video and fpv. Of course being a DJI this wasn't cheap but I think it was in the right price range for everything you get.Most important is the forward and below crash protection radar. And with blade protection you just can't go wrong.This is so easy to fly my advice is don't spend money on a cheaper drone only to want a DJI later. Just get this an you won't be sorry. You need to start with a 3 axis gimble (which this has) if you want nice video so you'll spend anywhere from $300 to $500 anyway. So just spend the extra bucks and save money in the long run.

The flip was a joy to fly as a beginner drone. It does not handle the wind very well, but if you’re flying on a nice day, it’s a great little drone. It’s not going to do as well as the other drones that DJI puts out like the mini four pro but you’re not paying the money for it either. This is a great little drone for younger people to start learning how to fly so I’m giving it five stars.

So many reviews here from people who don't own this drone.First, Geofencing was only done by DJI, no other drone maker, even USA made drones do not do this. It's up to the owner to fly correctly, not the drone maker. Take charge of your flying, and your own lawfulness.Second, yes Customs did check the shipment out but released it pretty quickly without opening the box due to the value being low (minimus thing?) and it being a sub 250g drone. Customs much prefers to hold up the more expensive drones that weight a lot more. (I have experience in this issue, not fun.)Last, I have no love for China, and glad that DJI is a privately owned company. They are by and far the best drone maker so far. I do hope other companies step up to the plate, but for now DJI is #1.So far this drone has been a lot of fun. I bought it with the RC-N3 controller, simply because I prefer to connect the controller up to a full sized iPad (with a cheap adapter purchased from Amazon) instead of the small screen on the RC2 controller or just a cell phone. I also own a Neo, and not sure yet which of the two I like best. The Flip was about $100 more expensive after consideration of a RC-N3 for the Neo, and that expense was well accepted in the larger size, more battery life, and better features on some of the camera tricks. The Neo is still a lot of fun though.Shoot, if you don't need an Air 3(s) or even a Mini 4 Pro for their features, get both the Neo and a Flip for less money over the price of only one of those other two and have a lot of fun!

One of the best little drones I’ve seen and used, the price point is amazing, great battery life, the video quality is amazing and really clear especially for cinematic shots, the flight video is smooth no jitters or anything, you can set the maximum altitude, a lot of features, noise level is kinda loud but manageable and it has safety features built in however keep in mind that using it in sport mode disables those safety features but for normal and cinematic flying it’s safe as the sensors will halt the drone if it gets too ckose to any objects such as a house, a vehicle, fence etc! 5/5 stars!

Although I am reluctant to write a good review on this drone it is such a kick-ass drone I can't not do this the only thing that I'm upset about is that you have to have an iPhone or you cannot operate this drone and it should say that when you buy this drone but other than that if you want to have a good time and if you have children or grandchildren or if you're just bored this is a flying video recorder that is so freaking awesome it's worth every penny and then some

This is my third DJI drone. They've all been great and this little Flip is no exception. As a real estate photographer, I need it to be compact and the ability to do 4k/60fps and this is perfect. I just don't need the $2k+ drones anymore. This does what I need and then some. It's suprisingly good in the wind. Yes, it struggles with strong wind but it's a beast. I upgraded to the remote with the screen and it's a game changer. This is a time saver, frees up my phone, and no more fussing with the cable to connect. For my needs, this works perfect! My grandson has a great time flying his drone. It’s a fun activity. Police departments use this company for their drones.
