No, they are not. The paper they are made of is a bit flimsy. The colors are vibrant throughout this set, and the magnets are sturdy.

Probably but I never used them in that way.

Q: Anyone like to share pictues to help others decide if this is a good fit? Like no pictures of all characters.

I bought this as a gift over a year and did not take pictures of the characters. The little girl I bought it for loved it and so did her mom since it's magnetic and travels well. It's based on the book so the characters look like the ones in the book.
