Tommy Hilfiger Men's 32mm Suspender With Convertible Clip, Button End and Strap

I received a lot of compliments on my outfit with suspenders on new years eve. This pair comes with the option to have clips OR buttons and you can change that out. Be aware you have to have a tailor sew in buttons on the inside of your trousers for this to work ($20) but the payoff and look is great. These seems to be off a pretty good quality and fit well even on me (6'2" 280)

He's a pretty decent suspenders. The leather is natural and firm. The suspenders themselves are basic elastic nothing special, but of decent quality. It does come with the clips and loops so you can wear them either way. Mine came with a small package of 6 white buttons. The suspenders themselves are of a pretty good size. I myself I am 6 ft 1, 300 lb and they fit me fine, all be it I'm pretty much let them all the way out with about 1 inch left over. But at that length the elastic was not stretched much at all. The only issue I have is with the clips. Where is there a metal on the outside, they are without the metal alligator tooth Style clip on the inside, but instead it's a circular piece of plastic with ridges. I tried to use them on slacks which were not very thick in the waist band, but several times that day different clips were coming off and had to be reattached. This is not too big of a deal to me because these particular suspenders or purchase to wear with a suit which I will be attaching the button loops to the pants. But I would recommend a stronger clasping set if you were to be using them exclusively with the clips. But honestly, I would imagine a man of Slimmer build might have less of an issue with the clips popping off.

Exactly what my fiance was looking for to wear at our upcoming wedding. The navy is dark but not too dark so it doesn't look black. The option to wear as braces (buttoned into pants) is really nice and buttons are included! Clips are very secure if worn as suspenders. Suspenders easily adjust to larger or smaller sizes. Word of warning...if a larger guy is looking to buy these, they may not extend quite enough. My fiance is 5'9 and a 36 waist and suspenders were adjusted out 2/3 of the available space.

These are very comfortable and functional, and the option to clip or use the loops is great for a man whose wardrobe is in transition; like most humans, I can't afford to buy all my pants at the sort of place that tailors and puts buttons in upon purchase, so I'm slowly taking in slacks and khakis a few pairs at a time. Swapping from the clips to the loops to go from one pair of pants to another in the morning takes a few extra minutes, which is tiresome, but it's not the product's fault that such versatility comes with such an understandable price. The clips themselves latch and stay very nicely on all my pants save one pair, which is known for rejecting clips from multiple pairs of suspenders. The pants and I are currently in negotiations, but the pants have a strong union rep and I doubt they will be accepting these or any suspender clips any time soon. However, that is also not the product's fault. My only issue is that, when I use the clips, the clip at the rear creates a painful bulge against my spine when I sit in my office chair or my car seat. (I mean the driver's seat of my car, not some kind of gigantic, man-fetish car seat as though for an enormous baby - though I imagine this issue would persist were I to sit in such a seat.) On a medium-length commute, this bulge becomes very uncomfortable, but I find that clipping the rear arm of the suspenders about an inch and a half to the right or left alleviates the issue almost entirely.

I purchased these for my father who had other clip suspenders and he complained that they kept coming open. He asked me if I could find some that also had the button option. I found these and had them sent to him. He called to say how great they fit, that the clips were nice and strong and he would most likely not even need the button option but it was nice to have. He said they felt great and there quality was exceptional. He loved the color and feel of them.

Cheap Clips….. that’s all you really need to know…. 10 minutes after leaving the house my pants fell down…… the clip on the back just ain’t up to the task. Cheap tin, I knew it the moment I laid eyes on it. Amazon should be ashamed they even sell these things …and Tommy Hilfiger ….assuming he’s still alive….Maybe he’s just a ghost …..he should be ashamed. I’d return them, but I’m afraid Amazon would just sell them as used,,, so I threw them in the garbage

I would rate these at 5 stars but there is one big problem with these - They are too short! no I'm no NBA player but at 6'2 with large frame 228 Lbs I have to almost fully extend them. You see the metal tabs approximately chest high for length adjustment? the whole setup does not look cool when you were them on your belly button level! I wear them with buttons so the leather straps give some length but not enough, any adjustment forwards my lower ribs gives me a wedgy in the back. Otherwise they seem to be decent quality but someone who tries wearing them daily should probably comment on that. I don't regret getting them but there is a big disappointment factor there, not on the functional level but aesthetic, suspenders with leather straps are suppose to make a visual statement, If I was 5"2 they would look perfect!
