Compatible Kohler Flush Valve Seal - 3 Pack Toilet Ring Seal GP1059291 - Flushing Gasket by Essential Values

I needed to replace the flush valve seal on a Kohler toilet, and I found these at a great price with next-day delivery. I watched a You Tube video before I bought them so I would know how to change out the seal. It looked easy enough, so I went for it. It turned out to be extremely easy, and I haven't had any problems with water leaking out of the toilet tank since I installed the new seal. Also, I have two more in case it happens again.

It arrived quickly. It fit properly and was easy to install (watch Youtube).

Fits nice and snug. Seals okay so far. It's been installed a month or so now. We'll see how it is over the long term. Original seal lasted about 4 years and was stretched out or swollen when I replaced it. As for being thin, they are a little thinner but work okay. Best I can tell old original seal is 0.067" thick vs. this seal which measured 0.059" thick. So it's 0.008 thinner and not floppy at all.

Boy these saved what might thought needed new toilet. Water department said i had a leak. Took bit of time found it.This ring replaces the old worn out original. Leak issue solved.Home centers didn't have any thing close.

These rings are a fraction of the OEM price of $6.00 plus. Looked somewhat flimsier and thinner than the original part but worked just fine. Make sure the barrel chain is NOT taught when you re-assemble after installing the ring. Otherwise the ring will leak causing the valve to refill every few minutes. So far worked just fine and I have plenty of extras for the future for both Kohler toilets we own.
