I recently tried the e.l.f. Matte Power Grip Primer and overall, I’m pretty happy with it! The formula is noticeably thicker than the original Power Grip, which took a little getting used to during application. It spreads well but feels a bit heavier on the skin at first.It’s also not quite as tacky as the regular version, so the grip isn't as intense — but it still holds makeup in place nicely throughout the day, especially for my combo-to-oily skin. I do appreciate the matte finish, which helps keep shine under control.All in all, it’s a solid product if you're looking for a mattifying primer with decent staying power. Just know it's a bit different from the original!

This is a nice primer from elf. It's very thick. I think I may like the hydrating one next time, so that I can get a better hydration.

The only primer I will use. It is sticky and matte. It keeps my makeup lasting all day long.

I recently tried a mattifying primer that claims to provide a gripping effect, and while it definitely delivers on that front, I found it doesn't mattify as much as I had hoped. During the day, especially on hot and sweaty days, I'm hesitant to wear it because I worry it might not hold up. However, at night, it does a much better job of controlling shine and keeping my makeup in place. If you’re looking for a primer that grips well for long-lasting wear, this one is a solid choice, but be cautious if you're prone to sweating during the day. Overall, it works great for evening events!

Obsessed! It has an interesting consistency but it works! I’m an oily skin girly (I’ve tried an TON of primer products on the market) and this primer helps mattify my skin and set my makeup up for all day success !

Elf should be considered the primer queen in my book. Their primers have always been excellent and competitive to the big name guys and now I say even better! Plus they have continued to keep their prices down for us struggling to make ends meet. I appreciate them so much, great product and at a great price.
