This is a fine chair
I was looking for a decent, reasonably priced chair for my very small office space. I looked at Office Max and was turned off by their heavy sales pitch for insurance (for a chair?? don't they see that telling you you need 3 years worth of insurance for a chair says they think the chair might not last 3 years?? They kept telling me that the mesh chair backs frequently fail so I should get insurance) so I walked out, went home and shopped Amazon. I was spooked by the Office Max suggestion that mesh chair backs have a high failure rate so I was a bit wary. It turns out this is a fine chair and the mesh actually looks more substantial than the the mesh on the higher priced chair I was looking at in Office Max. This mesh zips off so I suppose if it fails, you can just get another mesh cover. The assembly was reasonably easy. The most challenging things for me were figuring out how to put the gas lift cover together and knowing how hard to "push" the castors into the chair base. I ended up having to use a little ball peen hammer. I'm happy to say the casters roll nicely on my 40 year old shag carpet and my lumbar support cylinder shaped pillow fits fine. Overall I am very pleased with this chair.

Love this chair!
I've been looking for an office chair for weeks and finally order this one based on the measurements, pictures and price. We have a tiny NYC apartment so I needed a chair with a small footprint, yet large enough to have a support structure that would be comfortable after many hours of computer work. I also wanted something with arms as I often use wireless keyboard on a lap desk and the arms give my arms the support I need. This chair meets all of those qualifications. The chair took less than 10 minutes to put together. One thing that made it so easy is the manufacturer had the bolts already screwed in to where they belonged. So the only thing you have to do is unscrew them (they were super easy to unscrew) then place either the under carriage, arm or back where it belonged and screw it back in. So you don't have to open this little bag of hardware and then try and match it up with a picture in the direction to figure out where everything goes. I probably could have put it together without even looking at the directions. The wheels were also super easy to slide in and with minimal effort they pushed solidly in place.I love the mesh back because it has just the right amount of give, but is sturdy and the mesh doesn't get hot if you've been sitting in the chair for a long time. The seat is very sleek. The overall chair has very clean lines and looks great in our bedroom home office. So thumbs up across the board!

easy assembly though one bolt would not go in all ...
5 stars, easy assembly though one bolt would not go in all the way. Tried all the rest but it is simply the hole it goes into that is manufactured improperly. Used an allen wrench set I have to drive it almost all the way in though so it does not move. It obviously sticks out a bit but I do not care.I got tired of the expensive swivel, height adjustable chairs I had been using as they always flatten out quickly or their pumps fail or the seat won't maintain a strong firm hold (aka they lean back when you try to push up against the back). So I switched to a chair and this one had nothing but glowing reviews and was well priced.Cannot beat the 2 day shipping. Lumbar is excellent though I worry it will wear out over time. The seat cushion is top notch and does not seem like it wear out fast though the faux leather may rub off over time. I use my chair 3-4 hours a day, in a row, at home for my computer and could not afford a true office quality swivel chair which are $300-400+.I will update after a few months of use IF something goes wrong. Otherwise assume I am still in love :D Also, it is the perfect height for standard computer desk. Roughly 29" to the desk top though if you are shorter I would utilize a keyboard tray, I am 6'.

Comfortable and Solid
This chair is awesome. I have a carpeted office and didn't want a roller chair, and I didn't want to put down a plastic mat. This seemed like a good alternative. Took a few minutes to assemble - basically this comes in seven pieces - the two arms, two leg halves, a bar connecting the two leg halves at the base, a seat, and a seat back. There's a packet of bolts to fasten everything together. The unit does include an Allen wrench for most parts, but you will also need a screwdriver (I used a Philips, but the bolts also have a slot for a large flat blade screwdriver) for one bar attaching the two legs together. This chair is super comfortable, and feels really solid - not rickety or flimsy at all. The bottom cushion is thick and substantial, yet supportive. The seat back has some "give" to it so it's really comfortable on your back and does not force you into a rigid upright position. I like the mesh seat back as it breathes and doesn't get hot. I like this so much I just ordered a second one.

Screws not lined up
Easy instructions but the screw holes dont line up. The chair also feels like its leaning forward so not really comfortable.

Easy to put together, very comfortable
My wife and I have been using a wooden chair as a desk chair for years. Why? It was something with sentimental value from her family, but after years i started to wobble and creak and fall apart. We needed a replacement and decided we did not want a tradtional spinning desk chair cause the kids would just want to spin in circles on it.After reading reviews this one seemed to be the best balance of price, ease of assembly and comfort.Very happy with the purchase. I put it together in about 20-30 minutes tops including recycling the packaging. It is very comfortable.Only slightly negative comment in case others encounter this. When you unpack everything I found a small zip lock bag with an allen wrench in it with a note that said "FIND SCREWS - INCLUDED IN PACKAGE". There were no screws to be found. Instead, the screws were already threaded into their intended holes in the various parts. So before assembly I had to unscrew them. This added about 5 minutes. Sort of perplexing why it was delivered this way. No reason to deduct a star. Love this chair.

Great, but simple, chair.
The base is comfy, backrest mesh doesn't feel unstable. Functional and simple.
