Awesome game! I love the tropico games and this one slipped by me but as soon as I saw it was released I got it and didn't shut it off for like 2 weeks

More complex and boring than Tropico 5
I wanted to love this, since I actually had a great time with Tropico 5. This sounds good in the description, but after 35 hours (or so) of playing, I'm just... bored. It's too much like work and not enough like fun for my taste, and I'm more likely to pull out Tropico 5 if I want to build my dictatorship. 1. Tutorial is... fine. It's a little simplistic and overly explained, but I went through the whole tutorial to get a feel for all the new stuff. While it's good to get a feel for the new menu system and some of the new features (like the Broker, bridges, and stealing Wonders), it's oddly too brief to be useful and too slow to be enjoyable. 2. Gameplay. Building your island is very much like Tropico 5, with most of the same mechanics. They changed most of the quick buttons for some reason, but it was reasonably quick to learn the new ways to access the build menu, almanac, etc. It's also just as frustrating in a lot of the same ways - road building is still wonky, for example. Building bridges requires pretty exact placement (you've got to have the right amount of space on both ends for the struts, apparently), but it's trial and error to figure out. There's no explanation when it won't work. 3. Factions are the same, but more of pain to deal with. It's oddly harder to satisfy the factions, and I've been stuck trying to (for example) raise Faith happiness by 5 points with zero success - after building churches, raising salaries, buying upgrades, etc. If those things don't improve faith happiness, please explain what will - it's nowhere in the game. Easiest way to raise factions is to complete their randomly-assigned tasks, or buy the "Grant Audience" feature when it comes available. 4. World powers are the same, but more demanding. They'll require you to spy on the other world power (for example) 4 times, or sabotage them, etc. much more than they did in Tropico 5. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same. 5. New features are mostly enjoyable. The Broker introduces an interesting way to directly add money to your Swiss bank account, while also giving you a path to buy knowledge or other in-game boosts. Connecting islands makes for interesting land planning. The new way mines function (they're invisible until you activate the overlay) requires more planning. But when I take it all together, I just don't find myself having fun with any of it. Digging into the menus constantly to figure out why the militants are mad, or why my 5 new churches didn't move the dial of the religious, or whatever just gets... boring. Somehow, Tropico 5's more simplistic interface was a lot more fun. I played game after game in Tropico 5, just trying to build a tourist paradise. With Tropico 6, I'm quitting before I even get to the Cold War, just because... I don't care. I'd say this is game fatigue, but I went back to Tropico 5 and had a great time for hours. So it's definitely something to do with Tropico 6 gameplay. Sadly, I feel like it was $60 wasted.

Excelente juego, soy adicto de él desde la primera edición. Pero en esa versión para ps4 ocurren muchos errores al cargar el game. No afecta nada, pero es una molestia que deber ser corrigida.
