In the United States, in Louisiana, this cell phone's radio always receives service even in the country for me. It probably works well in other regions of the United States. I assume it probably receives great service everywhere in North America. The information I found claimed that it was designed for use in the United States by T-mobile. The latest sim cards do receive service in this cell phone in the United States. The following is how I put in the sim card. I turned the cell phone over. I pushed down hard on the outside battery cover. I pulled up on the inside battery cover. I pulled the battery out. I pushed right on the most top right sim card cover and pulled it up. I placed the sim card in the most top right corner of the most top right sim card slot. I pushed the sim card cover back to left position. I put everything back together. The T-mobile store employees may make a mistake in correctly setting up service for the sim card with this cell phone. You might have to call customer service or go back to the store. The user interface is a little tacky, but it's a decent cell phone which is simple and ready to use for a cheaper price without a lot of nuisance programs and portals. You can write audio files to a micro SD card and play them on the cell phone. The speaker is loud and good quality. The button on the left operates a nice flash light. This cell phone is durable.

Great build quality, but had to return because the software was incomplete. Parts of the "Settings" menu were missing, so I couldn't adjust font size, switch b/w silent, ringer, and vibration modes, etc. I tried reaching out to tech support - noone picked up the phone, and someone answered my email a few days later, but then silence after my initial reply.

This phone was purchased for someone who ended up using another "dumb" phone instead because this one is definitely bricklike. We did not try it on our network but the features all worked once the battery was charged. The buttons are large, easy to see and easy to press. The cost was great for a "dumb" phone with calling and texting abilities. One star was removed because the back was difficult to remove and required a small lever (we used a tiny screwdriver) to pop it open. It is definitely sturdy but maybe too sturdy for general use.

Bought this for my 12-year old daughter to replace a broken flip phone (not ready for smart functionality yet)… great value, perfect for a pre-teen training phone! Will be getting one for the next child in line, when the time comes. I was impressed…

So far so good. It’s a solid brick. Super simple menus. Great for outdoors or those not interested in a smart phone.

The speaker is broken, so I cannot play anything or use speaker phone. -It took a while for T-mobile to even understand what I was talking about when I went in the store to get the right sized SIM card. Now, I do not have an alternate phone to go back to. -It is also bulkier than I expected. -The texting features are odd. It would be nice to have a setting that allows for common words to automatically pop up. -The flashlight is amazingly bright and easy to turn on and off. However, that also means it comes on easily if pressure is applied to the button while in your purse. -When texting and calling, contact names do not come up to show who is calling/texting.

Horrible, unfriendly features. Purchased for a hard of hearing senior who is not able to use the multi- punch system in order to use the phone. Huge waste of my money!

I had the M7, but with such a tiny screen no android is now preferred. It has an amazing recording microphone and speaker. I actually use it to record very nice quality audio for Youtube guitar videos. Has nice light, and the speaker sounds better, louder, clearer than any apple iphone or most bluetooth speakers.
