Q: Which is the best snake; absorbs very thick melted ice, reusable, mold-resistant, holds the most water, how do you use it when defrosting a freezer?

Hello Barbara, The best absorbent sock for this application would be our New Pig Mildew-Resistant Absorbent Socks (PIG106). These will absorb 1-gallon of water per sock. They can be air-dried, and reused several times. They are made with a polypropylene material that resists the growth of mold and mildew. When defrosting a freezer, these can be used to line the base. Q: How long do these take to dry out? Do you have to launder them with each use, or can they be hung up daily to dry and then reused? Launder how often?

The New Pig Launderable and Reusable Water Absorbing Moisture Sock (PM50673) is designed to absorb condensation and other small water leaks and drips. These socks can be used and hung to dry or washed and dried in the washing machine & dryer. There is no set time-frame on how long these socks will take to dry as it depends on temperature, humidity and air movement. To quickly dry them, squeeze out the water and place in the dryer. Q: At what temperature setting can these be dried in the dryer as tumble dry low barely does anything. Can I use high heat setting?
