African Shea Butter 100% Natural 32oz

UPDATED: I have changed my rating to a 5-Star. Product is excellent for soap but does need the yellow compensated for with extra pigments. The stark yellow has faded in other soap batches as the soap cures. I tried this shea butter for my soap formula because I was attracted to the price and it was in stock. I have never seen shea butter this yellow but decided to try it as others had reported no ill effects in their soaping. Because of my recent move, I did not have titanium dioxide on hand. The butter was gritty which I did not expect for an unrefined butter since it had no clay right? I wondered if it had been cut with curry powder because this shocking yellow color. Once melted it did not have this yellow color so I proceeded with my soap making. I chose a vibrant turquoise blue, a lilac blue and a rich rose pink. Once I added the lye solution to the oils, because the saponification brought back the yellow color of this shea butter. The while wet the yellow is very yellow. I was hoping it might settle down. The third photo is the CPOP block uncut and the fourth is the cut. The shea butter made the pink a coral, the blue a green and the lilac blue more lavender. I worked around the yellow color by choosing greens for the next batch and this did appear to work more in my favor, making my greens very vibrant. I also used more pigments in the second batch. It is a very moisturizing butter and melts instantly into skin and will use the remainder to test-run a performance as a body butter.

Worth the money I spent, I have used it for lotions, and salves.

It is a very bright yellow color. I've had problems with it staining somethings but the quality of the shoe butter is great. It is really moisturizing, it applies well, and it is a soft butter. Over all it is a great product just a little flawed

All you need to know is that this product is legit shea butter. I was worried because i read about other products being sold but arriving and being fake. Shea butter is a natural moisturizer and great for eczema. As a child, I was covered in irritated skin and eczema scars. The ointments my mom got from the doctor did nothing for me. When I was 19, I went to Ghana and discovered African Black Soap and Shea butter. You have to exfoliate with a hard scrubby scrub thing + Black Soap. Then BEORE you dry off, after the shower, cover your body from neck to toe in shea butter. THEN you can dry off. At night, I also put shea butter on my face and then rinse with cool water to lock in the moisture. But that's because I have eczema on my face. If I didn't have eczema on my face, I probably wouldn't put Shea butter on it because it can clog your pores. All in all, shea butter has been a miracle drug for me. In Ghana, you can get a HUGE tub for like $4 but obviously, they jack up the prices in the western world. It's best to make sure, when you're buying your shea butter, that it says "made in Ghana" NOT USA. I dont trust American Shea butter.

Hola, esté producto me lo recomendaron para hidratación en la piel y para aliviar los síntomas de sequedad extrema y alergias en la piel. Ahora solo espero usarla y esperar su efecto. Buen precio y buen servicio, gracias.

Si es muy hidratante, se necesita muy poquita cantidad, en mi caso estoy embarazada y lo aplico solo en mi panza y espalda, pero necesito muy poca cantidad, no se cuantos años vaya a necesitar para acabarme esta cantidad tan grande, lo que si es que el olor no es agradable, en mi caso a veces aplico otros aceites para intentar camuflar el olor, puede ser que lo sienta más fuerte por el embarazo, pero en general muy buen producto, no necesito calentarlo, tomo un poco con la cuchara, lo pongo en mi mano y floto un poco y listo!

Lo pedí el 11 de enero y llegó el 16. Uso el producto junto con mi crema corporal y mi crema para peinar y me ha gustado mucho. Mi cabello es 4b, compré una crema para peinar que no me funcionaba bien pero al mezclarlo con este producto, mejoró, ahí les dejo un foto.

El producto es de buena calidad, y llegó en buen estado. Es muy aceitoso cuando se calienta (incluso con la temperatura de la propia mano). El único detalle es que se supone que son 907 gramos, y en realidad pesa 820 gramos (más o menos).
