Amazing for everyday miniature painting. This was a cheap and amazing purchase that helps preserve paints and doesn't cost a ton. Is it necessary no, but it does save time and makes your paint mix well in a fraction of the time.

This little unit is powerfully effective. I use this device to mix miniature paint. I am incredibly pleased with its functionality. For the money, it’s well worth the price. It is not entirely silent, but on a flat surface it’s quiet. It is a little heavier than I expected but I think that adds to its build quality. Very easy to activate by simply pressing what is to be mixed down onto the recessed cover. Good product.

This mixes very well and is easy to use. Counterintuitively, pressing the pointed end of a paint jar into the middle of the rubber top sometimes slows or stalls the mixer, but it's easy to get used to. IMHO none of these are really vortex mixers, but probably ultrasonic mixers. Nevertheless, they work great.
