I ordered these cross ties to replace the pair I’m using in the aisle way at the barn. This pair is black with white threading and the old pair is the dirty one in the pictures. I like that this set is so easy to adjust and is long enough for how high the cross ties are on the walls of the 12’ aisle. It will be easy to adjust between the pony and the bigger horses when using the cross ties. The old pair had a strap that hung out that I didn’t like. These ones do not have a strap that hangs out in order to adjust them. It’s a loop.While the bull clasp and quick release hooks are heavy duty, the nylon is definitely NOT heavy duty. In the pictures, you can see the difference in how easy it is to bend these cross ties versus the old ones. If you have horses with a history of pulling in the cross ties, these may not be the best ones to last. Luckily our horses don’t pull much or mess with the cross ties in the aisle way.

This cross tie set is convenient because it comes with everything you need to set it up. They are easily adjustable and the hardware is solid. I appreciate the panic snap although I also hang mine by twine for extra safety for an easy breakaway. The nylon is much thinner than I am used to seeing on cross ties so I would say they are more of a light duty product, handy to take to shows just to have something to use for braiding when needed or for smaller horses.

These horse cross-ties are really nice. They look nice and seem strong enough to work as intended. The hardware is very nice quality as well. Very well made and the releases all function smoothly. They are attractive in appearance but also seem very sturdy. The included mount rings would work well to attach in a trailer or in the stall for vet visits. Well thought out, high quality and very strong ties. I highly recommend them!

I hate to be overly critical, but these are the lightest duty cross ties I have ever seen. Single ply webbing, a single row of stitching holding it together, and even the hardware is lighter duty than every other set I have on our commercial boarding facility. Even with a truly heavy duty set, something is going to give if a horse really gets to pull on it….if the halter doesnt give the hardware on the cross ties usually will. Sadly I wouldn’t trust these to hold up to anything. For the price point these would be fine for a well behaved horse that won’t go anywhere, but there is no way these can be called “heavy duty”

These cross ties are nice quality. A gift to my nephew who owns horses. He likes getting little useful things for his horses as gifts. Things he needs. I can recommend these.

Looks like it will work, good hardware, and strong straps

Although these are listed as "heavy duty", I would rate them more as medium duty. The straps are common nylon webbing like you would find in inexpensive ratchet straps. Not really a problem as they're plenty strong enough for this purpose.The latches on the straps appear to be well made and are hefty. The latches are chrome plated but not sure how they'll hold up to the weather over time. The latches themselves take a bit of effort to work so adding a bit of lubricant would probably help.The rings are average quality but should be fine. The included mounting screws are just low quality wood screws so I'd recommend getting some better mounting hardware. The ones included could be easily ripped out of the wood by an agitated horse.
