Well made, works well.
Be careful not to leave on the high setting for too long, can be a bit fierce for puddings and soups. Low setting works really well. Cleans easily.

Slow cooker 3.5 litre
We are pleased with this slow cooker. The operation is simple. I have included photos to show the size of the item by comparison with other objects like a kettle and bowl. We considered a larger slow cooker, but decided it would take up a lot of room in use or during storage. The cooker base is not heavy, but the inner ceramic is, and put together, with the lid, you don't want to be lifting it any more than necessary. On my scales this weighs nearly three quarters of a stone or 5 kilos. When empty. The family-sized cookers seemed too large for us, and as it turns out, this version at 3.5 litre - you do not fill to near the top - holds plenty of food for a casserole for four; five or six with added potatoes. We have cooked up chicken portions, turkey legs and pork, and the meat always falls away from the bone. Sausage casserole is also great, but in reducing cooking time for soft meat, you might not get the diced veg cooked to soft, so reduce the size of root veg. A casserole packet mix works well for thickening. Very little liquid is lost, so the kitchen does not get steamy. There are plenty of recipes on line, but no booklet is supplied.Manufacturer says not to stand the inner dish in water, although it's fine to have water inside. Also, of course, the outer pot is an electrical item, so wipe it, don't wash it, and with switch turned off or unplugged.

Why have I not had one of these before?
This is simply a great device, can't believe that I've not had one before. I usually use it for Sunday's dinner. I'm no chef but I'm very happy at the results that I get. I just chop up a couple of spuds in chunks and drop them in. Then brown off a pack of stewing steak in the frying pan and drop that in on top of the spuds, next a chopped onion also browned off in the frying pan goes on top of the meat, I mix up a jug of gravy and cover the meat and spuds. Finally I make a few dumplings and drop them in. I turn it on to high and then weather permitting I'll go and get a few hours work done on my smallholding. When I come back in the aroma is fantastic and it's ready to dish up. If you don't have one of these you are missing out.
