Q: I need something to keep bedside to help me out of bed. Would this be sturdy enough to use in that way?

While you should not use this as the only way to get up and out of bed, I find this tremendously helpful to help me make the swing from sitting position to putting my feet onto the floor in the morning. I can then support myself to put on slippers and stand long enough to get balance and not pass out before going on to the bathroom. I have it wedged between the bed with the feet tucked under side cabinet. I was resistant to get a quad cane, now I wonder why I waited so long!

Q: In the picture of the brown cane it shows a big white hugo wrapped around it.Does that come off and the brown is under it ?

There is a plastic sleeve nearly the length oh the cane. It's clear, and the white is the warranty paper with it. It is taped into a tight roll around the cane. Just remove the plastic (you must to adjust the cane, and cut the tape holding the paper on. It will be brown underneath.

Q: I’m right handed so what should the base look like? Should base be narrower on the inside and wider on outside when looking down?

Yes, base should be narrower on the inside when looking down so that it does not interfere with your foot when walking. This cane is very easy to adjust the base.

Q: What is the tallest height measurement for the cane? The description says it can accomodate people from 5 feet to 6 feet 5 inches, but no measurement

I have this cane; it's 35.5 inches tall. I am 5' 7" and it worked fine for me.
