FP586 5/8-Inch thick 6-7/8-Inch Diameter Fireguard Drywall Plug

Let me start this review by saying I have never repaired drywall beyond the size of a nail hole and this product was used to repair a hole the size of a baseball. This plug is FANTASTIC and very easy to use. I followed the instructions and viewed several youtube videos on small drywall repair. Highly recommend. The end repair is better than some work I have paid for.

I suspect that part of the problem was my wall itself, but the plug needed to fit setting on two studs, and the plug was too thick, more than 5/8" and it bulges out of the wall. I'm going to wind up having to pull off the door framing and replace the entire sheet, I think. Regrettably, this did not save me time. I'd only use it when the plug can settle in between studs, not resting on them.
