Q: Can these headphones be used with just the noise cancelling activated and no music, to reduce outside ambient noise while studying??

No not really they make hissing noise and noise cancellation is poor

Q: Can these connect wirelessly or bluetooth to my tv ? i’ve an older lg 55” tv

You have to check on your LG tv if supports Bluetooth. You can check if it's Bluetooth compatible by looking in your settings menu. On my Samsung TV I can check it from the Sound menu. If the option Bluetooth Speaker List appears, then your TV supports Bluetooth.

Yes, I have found them very comfortable, and light, and easy to adjust.
