Amazon Basics Mattress and Box Spring Protector, Waterproof, Zipper Enclosed Cover, 12 to 18 inches Depth, Queen, White

I have bought these for all of the beds in our house. I use them with two other products. The 3 products that I use are a (1st) fully encased zippered mattress protector, (2nd) a quilted mattress protector, and (3rd) a terry cloth waterproof mattress protector. The zippered en casement keeps dust and allergens out, the quilted layer adds softness and an extra absorbent layer should anything get through the terry cloth layer. The terry cloth layer is a first line of defense against moisture and wetness. I have found that I usually only need to occasionally wash and replace the top waterproof terry cloth protector. Mattresses are a big investment. Other things that I have tried have failed to protect the mattress but I have been using this 3 item system for years to successfully protect my mattresses and minimize allergens. This product is an essential part of a great system.

Great Mattress cover! Seems very heavy duty and it's comfortable. Makes my mattress have a little more support too. It was fairly easy to put on the mattress although it did take two people.

The zipper was the along the length of the mattress cover making it easy to put on by myself. My new queen size mattress is 11" deep and it seemed to just fit. Not sure how that would work for a deeper mattress. Not overly soft, but value priced. I guess it depends on what you want. It serves it purpose to protect the mattress and I put a soft bottom sheet on the bed.

I really need something to protect my pillow top queen mattress, while in the process of moving, and I didn’t want to not have it protected, and with the zipper aspect of it it’s a nice touch. It was able to slip on and off with no problem and it still has a little bit more room just in case if you did want to add a mattress pad and wanted that secured definitely will buy again when it’s time for the king size bed.

I decided to downsize to a twin size bed, a memory foam model on sale via Amazon. Crazy for a 50'something year old to go down to a twin but a full size bed I just didn't need. Decided to get a fully-encased mattress protector since I often will sit up in bed and watch tv and yes, eat in bed. I'm not a slob or anything (lol) but it was a "just in case" sort of thing. There was not that many reviews for this product yet but I was trusting on the AmazonBasics name and rep and ordered it. I always machine wash any linen type item before using. I unzipped it and washed on delicate with a "free" type detergent. Let me tell you, it does hold water! I had to be careful taking it out of washer, being sure to get the water out of it. Point is, I was confident it was waterproof. I put in dryer on delicate very low heat setting and kept an eye on it, not leaving it in past being dry, didn't take long. After washing and drying, no damage to it whatsoever, felt certain it could be washed and dried when needed. I put on my 12" memory foam mattress with no issue by myself but mind you, it was a twin and this model or protector was the 12-18" size. Zipper worked great. It makes no noise for me moving around. The only thing I would have done differently, is gotten the smaller size that went up to 12". I had concern that model would be too snug maybe and not allow the memory foam to expand fully after putting it on or make it take longer. I mean after I moved around a bit at night, etc. Now I know that probably wouldn't be the case. Hey! It is my first memory foam mattress! lol I've been using for several months now. I have a twin mattress pad on top ot it then a fitted sheet. I would most definitely recommend this AmazonBasics product to others. Thanks Amazon.

I had bought at least 4 different brands and styles of mattress protection covers due to airbnb needs and experiences (stains from blood, coffee and other unwelcome bugs.. you name it). While one of the brands stood out in performance, against all above-stated stains, it doesn't have the right size for my new mattress and I hate the saggy-baggy feeling my last protection cover to my mattress. I stumbled upon Amazon Basics line offering mattress cover now and thought I'd give it a trial since in my experience it was always of great quality. While I haven't get to try the waterproofing ability and couldn't vouch for that part, it's a great snug fit to my new mattress and a great feeling on the skin. You won't feel too hot sleeping on it nor one of those strange plastic-y feelings. I think it passed the comfort and thickness test for the past few nights. I did have my cat peed in my bed once to my last mattress but I'm hoping I will never have to use that waterproof function. Yet if it happened again I'll give an update if this protection cover stands out too!

This is a great mattress cover. It's not hot to sleep on and was easy to put on the mattress.
