Esra completed her PhD in Islamic biomorphic patterns at the University of East London in 2022. She is also an Islamic art educator and the host of the Art Illuminated and the Golden Pages podcasts. She is the co-founder of ‘Bristle and Brush’, an artisan watercolour brand, and her artwork has been exhibited in the UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Oman. The book is fantastic, and the projects it contains could probably fill up several months. The author provides extremely clear, step-by-step instructions and enough of the underlying logic behind the patterns for someone to begin creating their own, after some practice. Very worth it!
