Mysa Smart Thermostat for Air Conditioners #1. excellent product, superior customer support!
Mysa Smart Thermostat for Air Conditioners. Initial setup we were not able to receive verification code via email. had to wait until this morning, 6/12/2022 (the next morning) to chat with support online. once this was cleared up we added the device to the app, simple. easier than #Sensibo. it has yet to drop WIFI connection as we monitor all devices with tools. We have accessed this first device 20 times this first day of use and has not failed! we purchased the 2nd of what will ultimately be 38 to replace the failing other brand. We appreciate solid customer support which Devon at Mysa has provided. thanks Mysa!

Started out glitchy but gets worse as time goes on
I bought this to automate a routine with my mini splits, control them with my phone, and to know the actual temperature in the room (my mini splits don't show the ambient temp, just the temp I set them to - so annoying). The Mysa shows the ambient room temperature and I can control my units from the app, so that's nice. However, the set temp display on my mini split unit is stuck on Celsius and there's no clear way to change it to Fahrenheit now that it's connected to the Mysa - not the worst but still annoying. I thought the option to set up routines was great, but it actually totally sucks. At first, the Mysa followed the routine, but didn't allow for any changes to the schedule: e.g., if I stayed home from work one day, it was a battle to stop it from turning down the heat since I created a routine to reduce the temperature at the time I usually go to work. I had to raise the temperature manually several times before it decided I actually wanted a warmer temperature in my room and accepted my manual setting. This battle was waged over the course of half an hour each time; Several times, I would turn the temp up, think it worked, then realize after about 10 minutes I was still freezing, then check the app and see the temp reverted to the routine. Now it does whatever it wants: no routine, no manual settings. It has a mind of its own. Sometimes it changes the temp according to my routine, sometimes it doesn't and I have to battle it to set the temp. Sometimes it chooses a random temperature that I've never used and then I have to battle it to prevent myself from freezing or wasting energy. The only helpful functions are now the thermostat so I know the ambient temperature in my room, and the ability to see the temp in the app; the Mysa is functionally very problematic... UPDATE: I've had this device for 7 months and it stopped working for no reason. The app gave me one option: to start over again with setup and re-pair it with my mini split. Sadly, it doesn't recognize my remote so it's going in the trash. I like the idea of this thermostat, but Mysa hasn't worked out the bugs, so it's simply not worth the money or the hassle.

Read my mind.
When I got my mini splits installed, the installer told me that they are controlled through remotes which seemed odd for such a major device. He asked, "well how else would you want to control them?" Umm, a thermostat that can be mounted so I don't need to babysit these things all day. He said he didn't think that was possible. Are you kidding me? Then came this and it was like they read my mind. Everything about this product experience has been flawless. The initial setup, the documentation, and finally the reliability of the service and the device JUST WORKS! What a breath of fresh air. I bought a second to control the other mini split upstairs. I love the fact that it remotely controls all the features but mounted on a wall. It just makes sense and has started saving me money. This is a great company. Keep up the great products.

Not quite there yet
I can see the potential for this product, but some very simple key features are missing and the thing is really buggy. Feels like a beta product not quite ready for release. Pros: - Easy to setup, configure schedules, add to HomeKit, etc. - Nice looking design, much better than certain competing products - Good range on the IR blaster (did 20' no problem) Cons: - Does not support auto mode on heat pumps. The 'auto' mode advertised appears to simply send a heat or cool command to the AC depending on ambient room temp. It does not seem capable of sending an auto command to the AC and allowing the AC to handle the rest. I've reached out to support on this one and will revise my review if they can show me how to send a true auto command to the AC. - Known bug (confirmed by support) prevents setting temps of 74 or 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Temps in Celsius work fine, but since C degrees are larger increments it's unfortunate you also can't set half degrees. - Cannot send off commands with HomeKit. Tested quite a bit and temp up/down, mode work fine, but telling Siri to shut the AC off never works. - Unintuitive interface on the unit. Not sure I can set one of these in a guest room and expect guests to be able to work it. - Has motion and light sensors, but they aren't enabled. Allegedly this is coming in the future. Someday. - Has a 'Climate+' setting that will supposedly adjust the thermostat to maintain desired temp. This works ok with heat or cool modes, but if you set to 'auto' (or, Mysa's version of 'auto', see comments above), Mysa will constantly switch your AC between heat and cool. The temp graph with Climate+ and auto enabled is a wild sine wave. Unless you enjoy being alternately too hot and too cold, I don't recommend it. - No ability to set temperature ranges, i.e. send an off command if the room temp is within the defined range, send heat command if under, send cool command if over. I knew this going in, but I was not aware of the missing auto command functionality. Without temp ranges or auto, this is not a set-it-and-forget-it solution. Overall, I can't recommend Mysa for ACs at this time. If they fix the bugs and add a few of the missing features I will revise my review, but for now this is not the tool I had hoped it would be.

Easy to set up and works well with my Senville heat pump. Love that I can change the temperature when not at home right from my phone. Can also monitor the temperature while away on vacation to make sure everything is good at home. Also Love the climate+ feature that keeps the temperature exactly what I want. Much more comfortable. The MYSA app itself is very intuitive and easy to use.

Excellent! Très facile à installer, application très conviviale et surtout nettement supérieur à son principal concurrent Sensibo...

I have three of these controlling the heads on two separate heat pumps. They are in my cottage so I love the ability to control and monitor the heat and humidity remotely, which they do extremely well. Two suggestions: 1. The ability to go down to the 10 degrees Celsius Freeze Protection mode, which the heat pump can do. These can only go down to 16 degrees Celsius. 2. The ability to interface easily with my Hubitat Elevation C8 Hub. Ovetall however they do a great job and I am thinking of buying 2 more for the heat pump at my primary house (which has a SmartThings hub which I wish they integrated with as well...)

This is the second one I’ve purchased and love that you can program it from anywhere.

I work in HVAC and had this for half a year, it worked flawlessly in Apple Homekit with my Mitsubishi Mini Spit; however, the temperature readings cannot be calibrated whatsoever which in a thermostat is critically important and renders it useless. Many other brands can be manually calibrated but Mysa refuses to address this frustration despite many complaints across reddit and other smart home forms. I’ve taken mine out and replaced with another brand. The hardware is great, the software is easy to use, the connection is stable but the product is useless because the temperature readings are never accurate. Until they add a manual calibration or offset function or improve the hardware with a better thermistor, this junk.
