I had to buy these because home depot does not carry this specific model.Works good for their Iron yard gates. The corner flaps are about an inch so it works perfectly. My gate is about 90 lbs and it shuts perfectly and quietly.

This is a lot larger and than the lighter-duty, model TCA1S3BT, hinge that they make, but it's still made out of plastic, so we'll see how long it holds up. I installed it on a gate for a pre-school playground, so it's going to get some abuse, I'm sure. The way it's designed, it has much better mounting than the lighter-duty hinge that I mentioned above. This hinge actually replaced the lighter-duty one. It was pretty easy to install, it's easy to adjust, it looks nice, and it works really good. I gave it a 4-star rating because of the plastic construction.

We have these on a couple of gates in our community, including our large, cardkey operated community pool gate. The hinges are sturdy and long lasting, and after determining that some 10 year old hinges were weakening, DDtech replaced them under warranty. It's great to buy a product that works well, endures outdoor exposure for year, and has a company standing behind the product if something goes wrong.Buy these with confidence.

Made of plastic and the gap required for the hinge to fit properly on my gate is too big

Very disappointed. I'm sure the hinge works great but I received no fasteners whatsoever in the package. I went to install it and found no screws!

Spring is not as strong as hoped but works ok.
