Stylish, Smart, and So Simple
I've been using the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 46mm Smartwatch for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. First of all, it’s incredibly easy to use. From the moment I set it up, everything just worked seamlessly. The interface is intuitive, and navigating through the features is smooth and hassle-free – perfect for anyone who wants functionality without complexity. The touch screen deserves a special mention. It's super responsive and clear, making the whole experience feel modern and high-end. Whether I’m swiping through notifications, checking fitness stats, or customising watch faces, the screen makes every interaction a joy. In terms of features, this watch really delivers. From health and fitness tracking to sleep monitoring and long battery life, it covers everything I need in a smartwatch. I also love how sleek and premium it looks – it’s stylish enough for any setting, whether at the gym or in a meeting. Overall, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 combines great looks, fantastic performance, and user-friendly design in one superb package. I’m genuinely impressed and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and attractive smartwatch.

Stylish, Quality Smartwatch
Most smart watches (like Apple and FitBit) look ugly and horrible. My wife had been wearing a FitBit and a normal decent watch. When the normal watch started playing up we chose this as a replacement for both. At last there is a smart watch that actually looks as good as a quality normal watch. This watch looks really nice and had a huge range of faces that you can choose from so you can adjust the look to suit you. There must be hundreds of free faces let alone hundreds more paid for ones. These faces range from basic but smart, to fancy and displaying lots of data, and they cover every variation in between. You are bound to find some you like. The Panda face plays a different random animation of the Panda doing playful things each time you wake the watch up. Many other faces allow you to customise them; changing the background colour or which data you want in each location. Most of the faces I have seen have an Always On version that uses less power so you can tell the time without waking the watch up fully. You can turn the Always On display mode on or off as preferred. The leather strap on the white version is also good quality and comfortable. Overall this watch can be worn all day every day and look good with anything. No need for a second, ugly smartwatch or to miss out on the wearable tech when you want to look good. Usage is pretty simple. The first thing you must do is pair the watch to the Huawei Health app on your phone. You get three tiny pictures in a leaflet telling you that and that is as far as it goes regarding instructions. The rest you have to discover yourself. What is it with nothing providing instructions these days. Unless it is something like a kettle where you get a thick instruction book which is totally redundant? Anyway, I digress. Usage is much like any pother smartwatch. Swipe different directions for different screens and functions. The touch screen is pretty sensitive and responsive. The Apps include the normal range of Timer, Alarm, Messages, Music, Sleep Monitoring, Altitude, Calculator, Torch, Remote Phone Camera control, etc. The Pro version includes Arterial Stiffness and ECG functions too which are not on the normal version. All easy to use. You can store maps directly on the watch for tracking your runs etc if you don’t have your phone with you. I can’t find any way to tell how much memory the device has or how much is free. The watch can control the music on your phone or has a few tracks preloaded onto the watch, but I can’t find any way to upload or delete tracks on the watch. Huawei’s own website gives instructions to do this via the Huawei Health app but the buttons they refer to are not there. A minor annoyance for me as I am happy to play from the phone but might be worth looking into if important to you. Note that no version of the GT5 watch can measure or calculate Blood Pressure. I find that a bit strange as many cheap smartwatches have a blood pressure function. I understand that it is calculated from other readings and is not very accurate, but I would have liked it anyway. This seems to be the same for other upper market smartwatches though so there you go. The watch keeps constant track of pulse and blood oxygen. The Pro version monitors for sleep apnea during sleep and for Heart Fibrillation too. Great for reassurance that things are operating normally. Obviously not medical grade but should be good as an early warning of potential problems. Finally battery life. As I understand it many Apple Watches struggle to last a full day. That is not even fit for purpose in my book. Other leading brands are also woeful in this regard. These Huawei watches give a good life. My wife easily gets more than a week from her 41mm version. I have more functions active on my 46mm pro version but that too will easily give over a week. This is without the satellite tracking working for a long duration or anything as those features are bound to sap the charge. In one experiment I had the Outdoor Walk workout function on for 2.5 hours and it drained around 20% of the battery. With no workouts running it uses less than 10% a day for me. Overall, we both really like our watches.

Excellent in both watch quality and fitness accuracy
This is simply the best smartwatch I have ever owned. I was previously a Garmin user (Fénix 3, Venu sq) which are fine for fitness but never actually looked like a dress watch - not the HUAWEI, which to me looks great AND it is easy to use, accurately records my data in way which is easy to access, gives me lots of options for sports, health and fitness through the app and also works seamlessly with my iPhone - all for significantly less than the Garmin alternatives. I chose the blue strap, which to me looks classy and the watch feels like quality throughout - there are a wide range of different faces (most have a cost - mine was 31p so not breaking the bank). A very happy customer 👍👍

Great display and battery, but missing some "smart" features
This is a solid watch and a great addition to my collection. It is so lightweight that it makes my other watches feel bulky. The battery life is superb, and the screen is beautiful and fast. The only downsides are the lack of contactless payments and voice commands due to current Huawei restrictions. If you can live without those, it’s a brilliant piece of hardware.

Apple watch killer, amazing battery life
Simply superb in every aspect. Battery life is great, I get around ten days between charges Charging is simple and quick, just pop it on the wireless charger and a couple of hours later its fully charged and ready to go again. Plenty of different faces available through the app. Strap is comfortable and hasnt left wrist marked like some watches do. Lots of useful functions includingbthe find my phone option where you press a button on the watch and the phone says I am here in a loud voice. Health functions work well and seem to be accurate. You can make and receive calls and get notifications and the screen is really bright even in full sunlight. Classy looking with all the functionality of the apple watch but ten times better battery life. Even get turn by turn directions on your wrist via app .

Great watch and brilliant battery
I moved from the pixel watch to this as I was sick of having to charge each day (or throughout the day!). The watch is a good size for my wrist (I have fairly big wrists) and fits nicely. I like the functionality of the watch however given it is Huawei there are some limitations for using it with my Pixel device. I cant dismiss the notifications from my phone on the watch. It is a bit of a shame but the rest of the features and functionality more than makes up for it. No issues connecting it to my phone and seems to run nicely. The screen is good and works even in the sunlight (well...UK sunlight). I have not had any issues with durability either - I have been wearing it every day doing whatever I usually do and there are no scratches or marks.

Superb watch
After being in the Apple Watch camp for several years I got bored with the constant need to charge and notification interruptions. This is a game changer - a really nice watch, heavier than Apple Watch but not massively so but it’s a solid build, comfortable proper Watch strap. Setting up is easy download the HUAWEI app and let it do updates. Comes with desktop charger. Intuitive buttons easy swipe between tasks. Given this is a ‘sports’ Watch it has all the health stuff apple does - and more. It downloads to the HUAWEI app and you can view health. But the big thing about this is that you can have the most recent health stuff on the main display. The battery life will last for days, I’m lucky if the Apple Watch will last 8 hours. Nice solid metal case and bevel, good quality screen. Lots of functions. 1/2 the price of an Apple Watch and i recommend this as your next new watch. Garmin do some similar ones but they look a bit more chunky and this one is quite low profile which I like. Verdict a good buy and it’s impressed me which as I’m a picky so and so that’s a plus.

Android marked the Health App as a risk for this watch
Watch itself is great and looked good. However, the compatibility of it for me was a major issue. I have a new Google Pixel 10 Pro Max and when I downloaded the app (3rd party website and not playstore) it was flagged as a risk. Then when trying to activate the various notifications Android had deactivated it and said it was a major risk to activate. I dont need that worry for just a watch! returned.
