Q: I ordered the shoyu but i got the aloha soy sauce original blend. are they the same or different?

They are the same. The company changed the label to Aloha Soy Sauce.

Q: What is the sodium content?

Q: what are all the ingredients?

Water, wheat gluten, salt, sugar, fermented soybeans, caramel coloring, and sodium benzoate A preservative That’s it! I think it’s the proses that gives it the distinct flavor. I prefer this soy sauce over any other brand.

Q: Is this thick/denser than Kikkoman? I’m searching for a thicker soy sauce. Thank you

This is just my opinion: No, it’s not thicker nor denser than Kikkoman. Kikkoman has a stronger distinct taste that’s good for soups, gravies, sauces, anything added to liquid, Kikkoman is good. Aloha Shoyu on the other hand, is good for gravies and it can stand alone for dipping sauces, like “Poke” mixes, Gyoza dips, things like that. It’s more of a personal preference, an acquired taste you would have to try using it. I have both and use either one depending on what I’m making. Enjoy!
