Great first-time kite!
As a dad who’s never flown kites with his kids before, I’d say:First-Time Flyer ImpressedEase of Use: I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get the kite airborne. It’s user-friendly, even for a first-timer like me.Quality: The kite seems well-made and durable, which is great because I don’t have to worry about it tearing or breaking easily.Design: The octopus design is a hit with the kids. They love the vibrant colors and the googly eyes that add a fun touch.Overall Experience: It was a joy to watch the kite soar and the kids chase after it. Definitely a memorable first kite-flying experience for us. Looking forward to many more days at the park with this kite.

Cuter in person
I have lots of fond memories of playing with kites when I was younger so I bought this for my nephews for Christmas. I really think it looks great but it definitely isn't going to be one of the kites they can pull out and use again and again and again. The material is sturdy enough and will be fine for mild to moderately windy days but it definitely doesn't feel like it will last and is going to fall apart/snap if you try for a hurrikite party (kite flying pre hurricane). I mean for the price, go for it. Especially if whoever is using it likes octopus/ocean. The legs flopping around are super cute. Recommended but maybe buy a spare if your kid loves it.

Very easy to fly kite
I've flown several kites over the years, and this was the easiest to get aloft. It's larger than I expected - quite compact for such a small bag. The tails are long and flutter about in an interesting way, the colors are vibrant - it's fun to see it in the sky.I was initially attracted to this because it looked like it didn't have any rods, and I was looking for a lightweight kite that I could take backpacking. I was correct, it doesn't have any rods and it is very lightweight. It took a week before I finally had a dry day with a little wind to try it out. The kite flys easily just running. It doesn't twist about, but floats right up into the air. It doesn't take much wind to keep it aloft. With just a moderate wind, I bet it would really soar. There's a lot of string on the main kite, but you don't have to deal with any of them, except to tie the spool to a knot that collects all the other strings. That's all of the assembly, so it's easy. The spool string seems pretty strong, I wasn't able to break it with my hands.

Fun Kite For Adult Beginners. Hypnotically Beautiful. Easy To Get Going. Large. Good Travel Bag.
I adore the design of this predominantly red-colored, octopus kite, a perfect, experimental beach toy on a windy day. It’s fairly large, so I assume that’s how it managed to catch the currently very gusty wind easily for some excellent airtime and chaotic fun. It looked both silly and hypnotically beautiful floating in the sky, making it a true joy for us kite noobs to drive. The basic assembly instructions were easy enough to follow, as the setup for this kite was already mostly done and with seemingly proper alignment. On the other hand, the ‘flight skills” section of the instructions could use some native-speaker editing to be made significantly more understandable. I really like the included travel bag, which is brightly colored and easy to recognize, and which has a convenient, Velcro closure. It does a good job of convincing you that the kite inside is smaller than it actually is, impressively.Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed playing with this as our first cognizant kite experience, and we look forward to bringing it to the beach with us from now on.

Unique Kite, Easy to Fly, Needs at least a moderate wind.
Bought this kite for my grandkids because I thought they would like the octopus design. It was a real hit.I was surprised that it had no rods to support it, just the fabric kite with a string harness. The design works very well. Easy to get airborne and stable in flight. It requires at least a moderate wind to fly, but doesn't pull as hard in flight as other kites. That makes for an easier flying experience.Assembly is easy, although you should be careful when unpacking it so the harness and tails don't get tanngled. Once it's unpackaged all you need to do is attach the string and it's ready to fly. I ended up attaching a large snap swivel (like used for fishing) to the end of the string to simplify storage. All you have to do is detach the string from the kite and fold the kite and wrap the harness strings and tails around the kite. Very quick and easy.My grandkids really liked it. I'd strongly recommend.
