This player is exactly as described and does everything it said it would do. It seems durable, has a clear picture, has the cutest little remote and reasonable sound from the 2 speakers. It works well with headphones and charges quickly. One suggestion we would make is to do as the instruction manual suggests and DO NOT change the factory settings with the possible exception of the break memory feature. My hubby has been able to put this little gem on his overbed table to entertain himself thru dreary bed-bound days in the hospital. It's small enough not to be in the way, with a screen large enough for personal viewing and with the headphones, does not disturb others. It allows him to enjoy the movie free from all the hospital generated noise. In fact, he gets his best napping with headphones and a movie. All these things at such a reasonable price. How can you go wrong?

Charge this device fully in order to enjoy your favorite shows for up to 4-6 hours without charging again. There are a couple of different ways to charge this. You have the option of using the car charger (road trip!) or the AC adapter which gives you a longer period of useful time. For the large size, it’s still portable. The screen is excellent with a high-resolution LCD display screen providing crisp, clean, clear images. The rotation and flip functions allow for a variety of great viewing angles. The audio features are outstanding! The speakers are crisp and clear whether you use it with or without a wired headset. I can tell you that the headset will give you the loudest volume. The remote control is fabulous! You can sit back in your chair with your feet up and utilize all of the functions and features without having to get up and touch the player. Love this!! Highly recommend!

We purchased this portable DVD player to use in our vehicles, while waiting for specialists, for school DVDs, etc. We don't have built-in DVD players in our vehicles, so this DVD player has been great for the kids to watch a DVD on far drives to specialists, etc. Sometimes our DVD player that is hooked up to our family room TV malfunctions or takes too long to get set up just to watch our instructional math DVDs, so this portable player has been FABULOUS for watching school DVDs at the kitchen table. The DVD Player includes a remote control, car power cord for using with the cigarette lighter outlet (do they still call it that?!), an AV cable, & wall charger/ power supply for a standard wall outlet. Using the AV cable you can hook the DVD Player up to a TV, monitor, etc. If you have an AUX cable (not included, but available at many stores) you can use that inserted in the headphone port to connect the DVD player sound to the car sound system, if the vehicle has an aux outlet. You can also use headphones, ear buds, etc to listen to movies quietly. The player does NOT need the remote control to function, which is a huge bonus. We are constantly misplacing remotes and/or running out of batteries in them, so to NOT need the remote for the DVD player makes it even more enjoyable to use. I purchased a vehicle headrest case /mount for this DVD player to be able to hang the DVD player in our vehicles so more than one person can watch the movies. Our kids love this DVD player to pass the time for long car trips of a couple hours or more. They can watch 2-3 movies on 1 charge. We tend to use the cigarette power cord though to preserve the battery for being able to watch movies out of the car, when we are not near any outlets. The DVD player charges quickly & is ready to go again. I WOULD purchase this again!

Although this portable region free DVD player works well, when I first open it up, it squeals. It does not squeal when playing a DVD, just when you first turn it on and open it up. And although I don't think this has anything to do with the DVD player, I had one DVD that it wouldn't play. It said on the screen that the DVD was not formatted for the region. And the DVD player is region free. However, the DVD player does play both Region 1 and Region 4 DVDs that I have. The DVD that won't play on the DVD player will play on the external hard drive of my laptop. Strange. And there is no instruction manual with the DVD player. I wish there had been one.

Back to 1 star - it only worked for a couple of times when playing T.V. series shows. When I tried to play a movie, it would not play, only a message 'This disc is not formatted to play in this region'. All of the movies I tried to play came up with this message. All of the movies are for this region and have been played on other players. So O stars for the player and the same for the company for sending me a reject player. Final update- They were unable for some reason to give me a refund, but they sent me a new dvd player and it works better than the first one. It still goes black screen about 3 times during a show, but it plays the show all the way through and the high pitch noise from the speakers is gone. 3 stars for the player and 4 stars for the company. UPDATE- I was contacted by the seller and offered a full refund on April 7. To date May 18, I still have not seen the refund or any other communication from the seller. Seems not only is their product bad but so is the customer service. Piece of junk. 1 star. Worst portable dvd player I've ever had, and I've had at least 7. Will not play the last half of any dvd, some dvds won't even play at all (and it's not the dvds) freezes up all the time. There is a high pitch noise with the speakers. Too many other problems to even mention.

If you are a Gen Xer, this is the must-have for your next road trip or during an emergency. I just used this after keeping it in a box for two years. It works perfectly. I would recommend the manufacturer advertise this product as perfect for keeping on the shelf for trips and emergencies. I just watched an entire season of sliders. The battery charge is fabulous and there is even a cord to plug into your car. This is the product you need to buy and store. Get this one and you will look like a Boss Prepper.
