A Serbian Film (Special Edition) [DVD]

Warning do not watch this film! Every time I close my eyes I see sick images and wish I hadn't watched it. It contains scenes were a woman is tied, her teeth ripped out and is orally raped till she chokes and dies. There's a scene where a man is injected with drugs and has to rape his own child while his brother rapes his wife beside him. There are other sick scenes that I don't dare write about.These images will be stuck in your head for a long time. Is it really worth watching?

Consider this not exactly as a review, but as a warning from a friend, in case you haven't seen this film yet and are curious about it. There are already many good reviews here dealing with the cinematographic, technical, cultural etc aspects of this film, so I won't add anything new there. This is not about the film, but about you, the potential viewer.As many other reviewers, I've seen a significant amount of "extreme" or strong horror movies. Fear and shock are powerful emotions, and films are a safe and entertaining way of experiencing them. Some of them left a deep impression in me, sometimes for a few days, but that eventually vanishes.With this film, it's a different story. It may leave permanent scars in your mind that will ruin some of the best experiences of your life, such as witnessing the birth of your child or lying in bed caressing a son's hair. Violent and obscene thoughts will keep intruding, and it's scary for me to think how much this can affect some people. If you think that you may belong to this group, don't risk it. There are many good films out there, and you may go on living without watching this one. Otherwise, go and watch it, but just remember that images can not be erased from your brain aftewards.This is why this is so different. The fear does not come during the movie. It comes after. And it is too real.

As the title says this is based on the 3 disc Swedish uncut version and there was some issues as to what subtitles it contains. Well I am pleased to confirm THAT BOTH THE BLURAY AND DVD HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES However it is only the Bluray that is uncut which has a running time of 1hr 44mins. The dvd has a running time of 1hr 39mins. Great purchase but due to the nature and content of this movie it won't be for everyone.

Which, with a title like that, it never could be. A porn star in decline gets tempted back into the life with the promised of a huge cash payoff. As filming moves along, he is made aware that all is not right with the production. Necrophilia, pedophilia and cold hearted murder sets him off on a vengeful spree with no survivors.This is not a film for everyone and should you decide to watch it you must'nt take it as literal as it is shown. It's raw, disgusting and in your face, but there is a method to the madness and I recommend you watch the interview with its director for some understanding of why this movie came to be.

I bought it since I wanted to check out this infamous movie for myself.As a movie in itself (story acting so on ) it`s not the best (3 out of 5 ) but having seen so many of the most controversial movies made for me this is the sickest I seen and don`t know what can top it. So 4 stars for succeeding in taking the cake of disturbing and only reason I don`t give it 5 is couse this pushes a boundary that I dont want to give 5 stars to.Great copy of the movie.

Heard a lot of hype about this film. Wasn't really sure what to expect, odd I guess. Obviously you don't see certain parts but you know what is happening.Rape, paedophilia and necrophilia are what this film is about. Certain wont be watching it again!Hard to rate this film, I wanted to see it after bits I'd heard but like I said, I will not watch it again. It wasn't as gory as I thought but obviously it is sick.

i read reviews about this film before i ordered it so i new this wasnt going to be a teddy bears picnic.a little slow to begin with, then it kinda hits you like brick. i would say ive seen some quite violent films in past years, but this did make my stomach churn a little. please dont watch if you shock easliy,it isnt light going.i dont usually like films that have had cuts, because its my choice to watch the film and i can turn it off if i want. but there are parts here that i can understand why they have been so.to the point its a very violent, in places stomach churning, shocking, and some would say just down right wrong!!!but its still just a film, its YOUR choice if you want to watch it. and if you do, this isnt just your normal shock film.some will disagree with me, but this is just my view.

I had read a few reviews of this "shocking" film so decided to have a look at it myself.I wouldn't consider it as entertainment, some scenes are very disturbing.Overall I found the acting and character portrayal very good, just hesitate to give it a positive review due to some scenes which could have been better left to the imagination or on the cutting room floor.
