Amazing shoes that barely survived their journey to me, no thanks to Amazon and USPS
Firstly, I really wanted to take off stars for thethe shipping fiasco that occurred, that nearly destroyed these shoes. Shipping shoes in a paper thin bag, during a rainy week, is idiotic. Then the shoes were delayed during shipping, showing up late,on top of the carrier just leaving them out in the rain, destroying the bag, box, everything but the shoes. The shoes definitely aren’t waterproof, as they were soaked through. However they dried very out very quickly. By the time I got to finally try them on, I instantly fell in love with the shoes. They’re a little stiff at first, in the insoles, but after walking around for a few minutes, they really started breaking in and getting more comfortable. Excellent arch support. I have a tremendously high arch, with a bad case of metatarsalgia/ ball of foot pain. It requires me to be very picky with shoes, ensuring that I have enough cushioning and support, so my foot doesn’t feel like I’m walking barefoot over hot, jagged, rocks. I’m primarily a Merrell guy. I usually stick to their accentor, strike, all out blaze aero shoes, because they have excellent support for my foot issues. I’ve always been in love with the look of Adidas Terrex hiking shoes. I really wanted to get the AX4 or the Goretex versions in black, but I read that the toe box is aggressively tapered in that version, and it would most likely aggravate my foot issues, so I chose these Anylanders after tons of research. I wear hiking and trail shoes, for my everyday shoes, because I live out in the middle of nowhere, every day is basically encountering some iteration of trail conditions, and they hold up longer while providing more foot support. I’m absolutely going to be buying more Adidas Terrex from now on. I spent all day yesterday, really putting the shoes through it’s paces, testing out the grip, reactivity, support….etc. They really do have amazing grip for wet rocks and trail conditions. It’s nonstop rained here all week. Usually I’m tightly grabbing my hand rail on my stairs, so I don’t fly backwards from slipping, these gripped the stairs and yard without any problems. No water gets through on the bottom, from mid sole to about halfway up. The mesh top and canvas upper however, gets very wet, very quickly. So if you’re needing a true waterproof pair, look into the rain.rdy version. I was impressed with the shoe’s styling and construction. The lace guards are very well done, stout, and seems like they’ll hold up well to use and abuse. The midsole has an excellent design, great shock absorption, and has perfect reactivity without feeling bouncy. Walking over gravel, rock, sticks, uneven ground, I kept perfect balance and felt like I was walking on paved asphalt. Needless to say, I’m extremely pleased and impressed. I usually always stick to black shoes, or darker tan/taupe with black accents, because I’m a creature of habit and simplicity. These olive/drab are actually very attractive,a well thought out color combination, that goes well with jeans, khaki,or even my adidas tracksuit. I was pleasantly surprised with the aesthetics and design. In short, these shoes are very much worth the money, at whatever price point you find them at. They cost significantly less than the typical pair of Merrell, Altria, Brooks, Keen….etc. But are just as good, attractive, with excellent orthopedic support. With my severe foot issues with high arch, metatarsalgia that more times than not causes leg and back pain, fatigue, swollen knee, these are a worthy investment for comfort, style, and utilitarian use. Whether you’re hitting the trail, the town, or the movies, they will serve you well. Again, if you need true waterproof shoes, these are not for you. The rain.rdy version are what you need. Although these dry out quickly, the tops gets wet easily.

I like them but I may need a smaller size
I actually first saw this style at a DSW and tried them on. They were a half size smaller (size 9) I liked them so I ordered these from Amazon at a half size larger because I was not sure if size 9 would feel comfortable when I start walking in them. However these seem a bit too big. So size 9 may be a bit too small and 9 and a half may be a bit too big. I know that in such a case it is best to choose the larger size, but I may send these back and think it over. They do feel comfortable. They are padded around the area that touches your ankles. The upper part where the uppermost eyelets are is not stiff and does not press hard when your foot bends as you walk. Of course I have not tried walking in these, just tried them on without walking in them. I do not know the longer-term durability or long term comfort (some shoes can become more uncomfortable as you use them) but these seem well made and good for general use and for exercising and they are supposed to be for all, or more than one terrain but I would not know about trail running in them as I have not used them for that or any kind of running. I would just guess they are good enough for those activities. I should say I am female and these sneakers are meant for men. I am not the target customer but men's footwear often is more comfortable and practical than women's footwear. One major thing, I typically use a men's size 8 or 8 and a half ( I typically use women's size 10) and I have learned that it can depend on the style as to whether to order a size up or down but these sneakers seem not to be according to US sizing standards since I have to get them in either 9 or 9 and a half. I guess I would recommend them but pay attention to the size. I will update as necessary.

Good shoe
Very comfortable and lightweight. They seem waterproof so far the bottoms have a good grip and don’t slip or squeak when they’re wet.

Perfect fit
I bought these because it was an excellent price. Normally shoes in this price aren’t the best for wearing all day without hurting my feet. These are extremely comfortable for all day. And the quality is great. They really look good too. I would highly recommend.
