Impressive
This modifird Henglong 1/16 scale RC King Tiger tank is the toy you didn't know that you needed. Everything about it is impressive. It is highly (and accurately) detailed, big, well-built, and easy to operate. The upgraded metal tracks, gears, and suspension are well worth the extra money over the regular plastic versions. The modified sound is amazingly realistic and the smoke exhaust is a fun feature. (Just don't overfill the exhaust pipe with the included smoke oil. One or two drops is all you need. More will cause the system to not function.) The tank will shoot 6mm Airsoft BBs quite a distance, and with some force, but not enough to be overly dangerous. Obviously do not shoot at pets or humans, especially where a ricochet could damage an eye. The tank will get up and move on full throttle, and turn sharply without the tracks coming off like cheaper RC tanks are prone to do. A friend bought the modified M4 Sherman at the same time, and he is as impressed with it as I am the King Tiger. We're both looking forward to a long time of enjoyment with these tanks.

I love this tank.
First off, you WILL need to be able to repair the tracks. Things happen, and if you drive it outside like I do, debris gets caught in the tracks and you may need to be able to remove the retaining pin and replace it. I've had mine over a month, and had to do it once, and then after that just to tinker with and fine tune it. You'll just need needle nose pliers in addition to the included tool. The bb's will fire up to 100 feet in my experience, but there will be an occasional misfire if a bb is defective. The remote makes it possible to customize the sound of the tank between 4 different options (2 are modern and don't match this tank, it's a master sound board for all their upgraded models) and 7 different volume control levels, one of which is no sound. The smoke from the tailpipes is a nice effect, and has an on/off toggle. I just uses glycerin like a vape pen I believe. The bow machine gun flashes as it fires, which is a nice effect. The main gun has a safety to prevent accidental firing. When it fires, there's three recoil settings to choose from where it rocks back on its tracks, and I love that. The bb's at 1/16 scale would be equivalent to a 96 mm shell, which is close to the 88mm these actually fired. It has a broad selection of decals, so you can customize as you see fit. I left off the German insignia because I like the tank, but not Germany as it was then. I imagine it as an American captured King Tiger, or one with no nation at all like the one from the Bovington Tank Museum. The photo of the tank on tile is 12" tiles for scale. It's a big tank, and fairly heavy. It feels like you got what you paid for. I have NOT tested the infrared combat options on this tank since it's my only one, but per other owners, if you have multiple IR tanks, the main gun flashes an IR beam that can trigger an included sensor to make the tank have an explosion sound, and after three hits or so, shuts down as "destroyed". I'm eager to try this out with a friend or my kids with no airsoft bb's loaded since they're not necessary for IR. Overall, I feel this was well worth the price. The weight and strength of it feels expensive and appropriate for the price, and you can customize it to your heart's content with the decals, sounds, recoil, etc. Overall, I'm very happy with it, and would definitely buy again. 2 months later: Still works and runs great. The smoke system is kind of an art to get it filled right. Trial and error will get you there. Be careful where you fire the BB's. The cannon is pretty powerful and has shot up to 100 feet. I keep it unloaded unless I'm outside with it. My cat actually likes chasing it too, which is the other reason I make sure it's not loaded.

Almost Perfect
I bought this tank a few days ago have no regrets! I love driving around pretending I have a 70 ton tank. Here are some pros and cons. -Pros -Tracks are very wide giving the tank a low ground pressure. This means it’s great at going over loose and rough terrain. -Batter last forever. Probably around 35 minutes depending on how fast you are driving and how much you shoot the BB gun. -Definitely worth the upgrade from the all plastic model. The metal tracks, gearbox, and sprocket makes a huge difference. Mostly in how it doesn’t feel cheap. Tank feels like a real piece of hardware. -The BB gun is the perfect amount of power. It’s to the point where you can aim and shoot the things you want. But it’s not powerful enough where it’s dangerous -The Inferred Laser fights would be a ton of fun. I don’t have two tanks yet so I can’t do battles. But I think it’s really cool it’s comes with everything you need to have the fights. I’m going to buy another one so I can have the battles. -Cons -My smoke machine went out on the second time of use. I filled it up just like the manual said. I think the heating element is bad. -Even though the batter last long. I don’t think it’s the best quality. I charged the batter up all the way and I plugged it into the tank. And it wouldn’t start. I had to go to a local hobby store to get the battery power cycled. This fixed the problem but still annoying. Conclusion This is a great tank that I fully recommend. There are some little things that are annoying and that’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. These things might be just to my specific tank too. P.s. when you are putting all the little plastic pieces on, get some good ABS plastic glue. This will make your life so much easier.

Great value. Lots of fun!
This is a great value for the money. It zips around quicker than I expected. Sounds great. The smoke and gun firing are neat additions. In short is it a lot of fun. Over all I'm very happy. The only downsides are poor documentation and the track tension. I had to go to the internet to figure out how to shoot the gun. That and mine came with the tracks a bit too tight. It took an hour or so to loosen the track tensioners. Much better now. I wish the external metal components were painted. But since I'm going to give the paint a bit more detail that really isn't a gripe.

This is the best I have done in 20 years, last thing I bought that was this revolutionary was my first PC. It's like a complete product: smoke, shooting of BB, the lights, the sounds everything. Just get yourself one as soon as you can, you will thank me. Also I really hope this does not stop working like the previous tank I bought 🥹.

not as big as expected and very heavy. reason only 4 stars is it would not shoot the BB pellets, and when I removed the gun barrel the retaining screw had distorted the soft aluminium barrel when it was tightened down so stopping the pellets passing into the barrel, used a round file to restore the shape and it works now. Also the battery supplied only lasted a few minutes and would go flat even when not plugged in, obviously old stock. With new battery if you leave it plugged into the tank even with the switch in the OFF position it drains the battery so will be fitting another switch in the battery power cables to the receiver, the original switch is attached to wires coming out of the receiver not the battery supply wires. The tracks are to loose and keep coming off if you do hard turns, difficult to interpret the instructions to adjust the tension on the wheels to make the tracks tighter. Other than that a good toy for playing around with and looks awesome just sitting on the bench in my work shop.
