Made a great gift
My 6 year old granddaughter loved it! It's simple enough for her figure out (with her Dad's help) and track the weather. It seemed like it was well made to last for awhile. I believe they were going to place it outside on a pole.

Great kit!
My nephew loves everything about the weather. He was so excited when I gave him the kit and we are all excited for him to use it. Definitely recommend for all the meteorologists-to-be!

Best first kit for learning about weather
The items that came in the box are durable. My child “future meteorologist” records her weather with all the tools provided. It also has a pamphlet that provides a vast amount of weather information. I would suggest also finding information of the different wind patterns.

Great concept, needs better quality parts, suitable for weather.
It has great learning potential but some of the pieces aren't made well enough to withstand the weather long enough, to really gather data over time.

Works great even in 50 mph gusts!
So much fun and educational!

Decent
This is pretty good, but maybe a little overpriced for what you get. It has most of the essentials for a weather station: wind direction and speed, thermometer, and rain gauge. It doesn't have a barometer, which is unfortunate, and prevents it from being really comprehensive. Also, the rain gauge is just barely two inches deep, one of the shallowest I've ever seen, meaning it would have to be emptied frequently to keep accurate tabs on rain. Assembly was an absolute breeze though, so that was nice. And it does have a nice booklet that has some good educational stuff inside as well as some charts and experiments to run. However, it also has a massive list of additional supplies you'll need to actually do the experiments. For such a simple kit, it would have been nice if it included the odds and ends to actually do the experiments, instead of requiring outside purchases to do them. Still, it's cute, and my kid is excited to start using it. It seems sturdy enough, so we'll see how it goes.

This was a gift and the kids who got it (11, 9,& 6) seem to like it They’ll be climate masters by the end of the experiments
