Easy to use and reduces the population
I live in southern Louisiana so the mosquitos start to get out of control this time of year. Purchased the executive model of the mosquito magnet with the ATRAKTA lure pods. Was easy to set up, just four parts. Was a little nervous the propane didn’t light at first as it takes around 20 minutes to warm up but it got going with no issues. After running for 30 minutes it had captured I’d say around 100 mosquitos. My neighbor and I were talking right next to it and you could see the mosquitos fly past us to get at the machine. I may have swatted one off me the whole time we were talking. The picture is of the catch after the first night. Definitely worth the price as it 1) attracts the mosquitos to the machine and not you and 2) reduces the population. Highly recommend.

Buyer Beware
I dont usually write reviews however I felt the need to write this one. I live in NJ and we had a very wet spring and humid summer so the skeeters were everywhere and no respect for the apex predators of the world......lolI purchased the most expensive MM thinking, hey no wires means I can place it anywhere in the yard. I purchased the bought together stuff thinking I would need them and....NOT. The air canister things dont even go with this machine. It assembled easy and I placed it in the yard. I have a half acre with woods behind the house. I placed it at the rear of the yard next to the woods. After a few days I checked it hoping to see alot of dead mosquitos and to my disappointment maybe a dozen or so. I ended up moving the thing all around the yard in different spots and to my surprise, NOTHING....again and again. After 3 weeks I went to check on it again and found the battery was dead. I charged it for 12 hours found the light green and placed it back in the machine. It turned on for a second and would not stay on. I called MM customer service and they told me to charge the battery for 24 hours, if that didnt work there may be a problem with the main part of the machine or I would have to purchase a pack of 2 new batteries. I was stunned by this response. This was purchased 3 weeks ago!! I charged the battery for 24 hours and it did not work. I sent it back battery and all...... and it didnt work very well at attracting mosquitos......I attract more sitting in the yard...... buyer, look for another option.

They work great for us.
I rarely write reviews if I'm happy with a product. Lazy, but that's me. But I was looking at ordering one for my sister as a gift and saw all the negative reviews. I just don't see these problems. I guess sometimes people get one with a faulty battery or some other factory build problem and they review while the satisfied customers don't. And I've found that with a lot of things I purchase many negative reviews come because people don't read the instructions. Like in this case using the right "bait", Lurex or Octenol, depending on what part of the country you live in, putting it in the right location, or not realizing that there is a timer that shuts it off (if you set it right) for up to four hours during the parts of the day and night when the mosquitoes aren't active. Anyway, everyone in my family has one, they are very effective (I catch hundreds of mosquitoes in a week when we've had a rainy spell)-- my yard stays basically mosquito free, and the battery lasts for months. One full propane tank lasts 3-4 weeks depending on how many hours a day you run it. It's expensive, but since we had one family member almost die from West Nile Viral Encephalitis, (coma, hospital for a couple of months, rehab for a year) worth every penny of it to us. Again though it works best if you keep it running for at least the minimum time everyday and give it a week or two to clear out the mosquitoes in your neighbors' yards too.

very temperamental
Hard to keep running unless temperature is 55f or higher so I missed out on killing mosquitos early on in the year, battery usually dies within 1 week, one of my batteries will only last about 3 to 4 days, could just have had a bad batch of batteries i guess. Now that temps are in the 60's to 70's I'm having to dump the trap once a week because it is absolutely packed with mosquitos. I have 2 of these by my cabin and I would say it reduces the amount of mosquitos by 85 to 90 percent, I might have a handfull flying around the cabin but as soon as I go to my other lot I'm getting swarms of mosquitos, so they do work.

Very expensive but very effective
Works very well but at a very steep price. This seller's prices are reasonable when compared to others. This drastically cut down the mosquito population on my property.

Terrible product
Prefer the executive mosquito magnet based on our need to have it remote from a power source. Initial impression was good as the product appeared to be well manufactured. The first thing noted when we tried it for the first time was the battery cover would not stay in place. We started it following the guide. It ran for 2 hours and shutoff with an attention warning. Reset and restarted and worked fine for the remainder of the day. This was the same everyday for two weeks, fighting the attention warning etc. occasionally it shut down for temperature even though it was 55degrees out. Called the customer service line…zero service!!!! Between automated bs and finally speaking to someone that literally could not give a *%#! I said *^%#! It and returned it. After reading reviews and talking to a few other owners this seems to be the norm for the cordless model.I would not recommend purchasing this product. Hopefully the manufacturer will review and up their game with the customer service.

Keeps the mosquitos away!
We’ve been using got a couple of weeks and have seen a definite reduction in mosquitos. Also we see the little bugs in the net, so we know it is working. It is expensive but worth it. We opted for the battery version without electric cord so we could place it anywhere in the yard. It holds a good charge and is easy to recharge. It was easy to put together . It does take up space and is hard to hide but we put close to trees and bushes so that helps mask it. Very quietWorth it!
