Very happy with purchase of cannon The complete series, one of my favourite TV shows, good to see it also contained the bonus disc The return of frank cannon movie.

Cannon is a P I and it is excellent as it has Action/ Drama and very good storys in the 50 minutes episodes. Dvd all fine

Considering it's 45 years old this series has great, action-packed stories, famous guest stars before they were famous and a tough, charismatic lead. I've been waiting for an affordable DVD set for some years and now I've got it. 'All Your Music' sell this VAT paid, so you don't have to worry about the postal service holding your goods to ransom (£8) to recoup £4 in VAT! I would say the picture is better than video quality, although it does not appear to have been re-mastered. There's no greater voice in the American acting profession than William Conrad, a talented actor, director, narrator and apparently WW2 fighter pilot.

For the price , this is excellent value. Too many people have moaned about the quality of the picture and sound, but with decent equipment they're good, 8/10

Let's be honest, there's only been a few really great cop shows. Kojak will always be my favourite, but Frank Cannon is up there with Theo. He was a gourmet and drove his Lincoln Continental - impressive if you were British back in the day. We never had anyone like that on British TV. Plus Cannon isn't your Starsky or Hutch - he's a big heavy guy, not a piece of cheesecake. Great TV from when TV was great. Well worth your cash and a rare treat. Reminds you how glorious 70's TV was, can't believe it's over 40 years ago. Go get 'em Frank.

Brilliant series remember watching this in the early 70s not seen it since William Conrad is superb as Cannon great stories and action considering it's nearly 50 years old the picture is not bad at all they don't make em like this anymore and you get a proper score unlike the constant drone you hear nowadays well worth it if you like 70s cop shows

I just received the VEI Cannon 20 DVD set. Having watched 3 disks so far, I must say the picture quality is surprisingly good - much much better than I expected from reading other reviews of earlier Cannon releases. The sound quality is excellent. The only issue with packaging was I received 5 disks (not 4) for Season 5 as the Season 5 Disk 2 disk was included twice - must have stuck together in the packaging process. Disks are naturally tight when you take them off their spindles for the first time, but not overly difficult to remove. The packaging is compact and will not take up much shelf space - good packaging as far as I am concerned. As with all VEI releases that I have purchased, there are not any sub-titles. I am pleased with the product as Cannon is a gritty, hard-nosed show and very enjoyable. Based on my sample viewing of this release, there is no reason not to buy this 20 disk version of Cannon from VEI unless of course you need sub-titles. January 30, 2017 Follow up. I have noticed that the sound on Season 5 Disks is really low. Even after cranking up the volume, the dialogue is difficult to hear. I adjusted the "treble" on my TV set to high, and the voices were much cleaner. I have only noticed this weak sound on the Season 5 disks. So far, the sound on the other seasons is good.

I love this show. Now I don't have to watch reruns late at night! I can watch them without stupid commercials! This is another show that was great for its time: the actors, the stories and the music. I just watched an episode that included Mark Hamill in a bit part! It's nice to see actors before they were famous. I also like the Lincolns William Conrad drove for the show. Highly recommend.

This DVD set from VEI is pretty good. The video transfer is clear and not very grainy. The audio track is a bit muted, but I just turned-up the volume: I didn't notice any analog hiss. The plastic storage case is pretty substantial. The DVDs of the TV shows are in a pebble-textured plastic booklet that is meant to be pulled out of the case. The made-for-TV movie is in its own plastic sleeve. If you're a fan of William Conrad, you will enjoy this series. Now, I just have to purchase "Jake and the Fat Man."
