The housing forms well to 90% of the unit. The front top bit has no ridgidity so it's just floppy loose material. Screen protector is on par with any cell phone screen protector.

Anything in my hands gets bumped around and scratched up quicker than it should. You can just look at my phone and tell. This silicon cover takes that unnecessary risk away, keeping the cam safe from my clumsy ways.The screen cover feels like a type of PET film versus tempered glass. But the sliding movement is still smooth and fluid enough to accurately respond to commands.The silicon cover protects a majority of the cam from bumps and scratches. The grip is good and feels nice in your hands. I wouldn't rely on the cover to protect from drops. That would require a much thicker type of case. This is more of a cover that keeps scratches from rough surfaces, like a wood workbench, from making their way onto your camera. Those little scratches accumulate over time and end up making your cam look like a total wreck. So just remember its for bumps, not drops which I think Revopoint accurately states.This is a good cover and a must have as you get use to handling the weight and form factor of this camera. Highly recommend for new users, especially clumsy ones, like myself.

Can I tell you about that awesome anxiety you get when it's hot and your hands are sweating while you are scanning an object, or when you hand your MIRACO PRO over to someone else. This doesn't eliminate it, but it does reduce it some. At the end of the day that's all you can really ask for, because there are no guarantees in this life.Like I said it fits like a glove, and protects a good portion of the scanner. You still really need a screen protector, but most of everything else gets some level of protection.

Revopoint Protective Silicon Case and Screen Protector for MIRACO and MIRACO PRO 3D Scannersmiraco is a fairly substantial piece of kit. it is quite heavy and not cheap. having a little rubber around the edges does bring piece of mind, but this is not going to save the screen especially if tilted. this may bring some measure of protection against drops but i dont think that it will provide a whole lot of protection. miraco is heavy. if it falls on carpet with this little case on it might be fine. but dont drop it anywhere ever. i think one should think of this more as a comfort in the hand experience rather than "protective". and piece of mind while doing site asset grabs. to provide drop protection a much thicker case would be required, but again, the piece of mind this brings will keep you worrying about object and not scanner.

This skin fits nicely, and for such a nice hefty 3D scanning beast I'm quite glad to have it.The power and start buttons are clearly marked in the molded silicone. The bottom does not cover the cooling vents, and I'm guessing the big (intentional) hole on the scanner side is to allow for heat dissipation.The only thing I would like better is if the screen protector was tempered glass instead of flexible film so it would be less susceptible to scratches. It should work fine since I'm careful with the scanner, but when it does get scratched from swiping on the screen I'll look for a tempered glass replacement.

Screen protector was super easy to apply. Silicone case fits like a glove. So far no issues.
