Cambridge Phrasal Verbs Dictionary, 2nd Edition

Received today..It is indeed a very good dictionary as I can make out with a first glance. Size:Not the bigger one & not the pocket size. It's a medium size dictionary very handy. Print & Paper quality: An original one from Cambridge University Press.A-class print and paper quality. Packing:Packing by Amazon was bit okay with a bubble wrap supported poly back.Needs improvement on this as during the transit the edges of the books gets damaged. Feedback for Vendors/Amazon:In my past purchases Amazon used to give Complimentary bookmarks which they have stopped now,as in my last two purchases including this one the bookmark was missing. It was a good practice to provide bookmarks with the product as it adds more joy to customer's experience....Hope to see Amazon providing bookmarks with my next purchase.

This is a really good dictionary of phrasal verbs. I purchased it for rupees 167. Pros- 1. Great page quality. 2. Great printing quality. 3. Printed in color. 4. Big font size. So no issue in reading. 5. Not much issue in searching for the phrasal verb. 6. Good explanation of every phrasal verb. 7. Usage of the phrasal verbs in the sentences has also been given which makes the understanding of the phrasal verbs quite simple. 8. Diagrams are also used to enhance the understanding. Cons- Could not find any. Final comment- It is certainly better than Oxford dictionary of phrasal verbs. Go for it if you are planning to purchase a dictionary of phrasal verbs. It is definitely a great choice.

Paper quality is good. Delivery could have been faster. Price should be lowered by seller.

Pages are thin thats why book is very compact 6. The whole look and feel of the book is very good and attractive. You will feel happy to possess this book. 7. Example usage is given in simple sentences and is easy to follow. 8. Whether the verb is British, American or Australian and Whether it formal or informal is given 9. Buy Cambridge books than Oxford. Dear sir, First of all this book is nice to understand and learn the meanings of the "Phrasal Verbs" and it was written in lucid manner & printed colourfully to understand easily. If you want to do more exercises , as per my opinion go to Cambridge's another book "English Phrasal Verbs in use" (both books i.e. Intermediate & Advanced ) for which "Cambridge Phrasal Verbs Dictionary" is useful to understand and know the meanings of the phrasal verbs. Pros :- Very Good explanation of phrasal verbs with examples. Some phrasal verbs are explained with pictures. Category wise phrasal verbs at the end. Cons :- they should provide the different sections for the British and American phrasal verbs. May have used some more pics with important phrasal verbs. No practice exercise.

I bought both oxford and cambridge P.verb together ,both are superb but i found cambridge is more interesting How's cambridge more intresting - - no bulls***s - eye friendly fonts - systematically arranged - topic wise most important pharasal verb at end of book.. But one thing that Oxford dictionary have but not Cambridge ..synonymous and antoymous of most important phrasal verb I have attached a sample page of both dictionary of a randomly selected word 'break down '

The book has some detailed explanation of very unknown as well as known phrasal verbs and is very handy when it comes to interview. So a nice book with good stock from Amazon
