This is from CHIIIINA...good product, works well
Bought this to repair broken iPads. I have had enough of using a blow dryer or heat gun to try to loosen the glue on the iPads and phones I repair. And I repair plenty of them, as my wife/kids (ok, me, too) will punch, drop, leave on the car and drive away, kick, sit on or otherwise destroy iPads, phones, etc. on occasion and break the screens. I wish I was kidding on all the ways we've managed to break these expensive ("expensive as F") devices. First off, this thing is from China. There is Chinese writing all over it, so I'm guessing this wasn't "made in the USA." Safe assumption it is from China. That said, the shoes, underwear, socks, etc. are probably made in China or from the region. The surface area of this heater is more the enough for an iPad (shown is an iPad Air2), as you can see on the screen. You have about 15" X 8.75" Take off the goofy angle at which the pad is cut on the bottom left (and take out the area of the black control module), and you still have 12" X 8.75". This is a nice size. There is a built-in timer on the unit. You start off by getting 99 minutes of heating time. You can adjust this throughout the heating process. So this unit doesn't catch fire and burn my house down, I unplug the heater after each use. If you're not used to metric measurement, you'll be Googling a temperature conversion table. To safely loosen the glue on a phone or iPad, you're looking at 60 degree Celsius/140 degree Fahrenheit. The default heat setting is 60 degree Celsius. If you're like me, you will misspell "Celsius to Fahrenheit" conversion when you Google. This puppy will go up to 99 degree Celsius/210 degrees Fahrenheit. This can be dangerous if you're not careful. I debated between this and another unit with lesser reviews (also a few dollars less). I am glad I bought this one. I paid $78 on Amazon, so if you get a better price, it's a bargain. It's worth the money.

6767 Ohio skibity brain rot sigma. Matcha wt quarter zip! NO MORE NIKE TECH!
Affordable and gets the job done well! I have fixed and sold 2 phones so far and have already made my profit back. Interface is very easy and good to use. Makes a weird plastic smell when in use, but yeah other than that its amazing.

Great value for temp controlled heat pad
This heat pad is portable and spacious. Easy to use and heats up quick. No worries about over heating device with the built in adjustable timer for auto shut off. I did notice the temperature going above the temperature I set as it was heating up, so I would just keep an eye on it. I did use the timer so it wouldn't get way too hot, and also so I wouldn't be constantly checking it too soon. It has a nice small seperated storage tray for the tiny screws to keep them safe and seperate. For a large or m9re complicated disassembly I use a seperate numbered tray, but for a simple screen replacement it works great. The rubber type material keeps device from moving around and when the heat is off it is a great place to do you repair work right on it. I really like this heat pad.

Happy
The product is just as I expected it would be. The mat is thick and even though it gets very hot, the bottom doesn't seem to be that hot. The mat has a nice grip. The temperature heats and cools rapidly. I bought this to remove my iphone 12 screen which I have been unable to do without it getting too hot but that has nothing to do with the mat.

Able to remove screens and glass back panels
The heating pad has allowed me to repair a old Surface Pro 4 which is notoriously difficult to get into. It did take a few hours though to get into the device as the heating pad has several cold spots on the pad. While it looks like it can be rolled up to be stored away, do not do it as it will damage the heating coil. It is quite bulky to store but in a repair shop setting, it would stay at a single station throughout it's lifespan.

works too good!
i bought this to replace the screen on my ipad pro 10.5" i did not want to use a heating gun, and found out about these heating pads, and it works wonderfully, however you need to be careful, as soon as you plug it in and turn it on, it immediately gets hot, and gets hotter, so you need to program it to be at the temp you want it, and for how long. for tablets the lowest time it goes down to is 5 minutes at 50 F. i put mine at about 160F for ten minutes and that was enough to remove the screen. it comes with an instruction manual so read that thoroughly before you mess around with it. would buy again if i needed, but hopefully not

Must have for electronic repair
Used this for fixing electronics and has not messed up a single time! Works great, good grip. Nothing else I can say but it's a good fit for the desk, doesn't take up too much space, and can be stored pretty much anywhere! If you do electronic repair, these are a must have!
