The initial thought was, wow it's almost black yikes! However, I applied it (without gloves) on damp hair and left it for 2, 3 minutes rinsed and conditioned. It doesn't "stain" your hair or make it feel brittle, lathers well. No distinct smell that is bothersome. I've used three times and I like that my brown brassiness is calmer, less noticeable. I will continue to use this shampoo.

The shampoo seems to work great. My daughter got pink highlights, and it has helped preserve the color all summer.

I have auburn hair. I bought this to help my color not appear dull before my next visit to the hair stylist. Well, this shampoo is RED! I had fire engine red hair. So if that is what you are looking for, this will do it. If it isn't don't try. I don't know how long it lasts I only had it for on for 6 days before I went in to the salon to have it neutralized.

This is a easy to use product in the shower. However, it doesn’t refresh the hair that much unless you still want some dye on your towels.This is my first color boosting product so I can’t compare with others. But as a first time user I’m satisfied.
