TouchPoints for Calm - Black Silicone Large Bands

I'm a mental health professional and first became aware of this device almost a year ago at a neurofeedback conference. I was having a lot of trouble with back pain (I'm an old lady, arthritis and other aging issues, uncomfortable chairs, etc.) and went to the exhibit area hoping to try something to get relief. I met Amy Serin, the neuropsychologist who invented Touchpoints. Amy is an EMDR specialist, and her work with EMDR inspired her to develop this amazing little device. Like EMDR, the Touchpoints work on the principle of bilateral stimulation (which is why you will feel alternating stimulation and hear the buzzing sound). Dr. Serin handed me a set of Touchpoints and asked me to try them. Twenty minutes later, I was nearly pain-free -- when even pain medications had failed to make a noticeable difference. I promptly bought a set! Since then, I have used the Touchpoints to significantly improve my sleep. My husband uses them to calm his "nervous stomach." I have also used them with a number of clients with excellent results. They come with wrist bands, but I prefer holding them in my hands -- I feel that the effect is stronger. Because of the sound (not very loud, but noticeable), most people will probably prefer not to use them in a class or group of people or while attending events. I suspect that many people are not aware of the science behind bilateral stimulation to interrupt the stress response in our nervous system. I was sorry to read so many negative reviews because these really are effective.

Not happy with this product overall. I love using it. But I needed a replacement cord - that took over a month to arrive. Less than 3 months since I ordered (almost 1 month to get to me) and one band has already stopped working. FAR too much money for faulty items.

My father's repetitive OCD tics are resolved with 30 minutes of use. I was skeptical, but it works.
