The handle is made from fibreglass with a soft grip handle for extra grip and comfort. The head is drop forged from a solid piece with a wide, flat blade at one end and point at the other end. To fit the head to the handle, slide into position and when you get to the wedge give it a helping hand to get it over. No nails, pin or wedges are required.Please note the shafts are now ORANGE  and are BS8020 industry standardThe BS8020 industry standard is a safety certification for handtools that are used during excavations around live cables or un-mapped underground services.The BS8020 handle will protect the user if they accidentally strike a buried electric cable.The FG handle is rated to protect up to 1000V (volts)  AC (Applied Current)
