Great chair with some minor issues
I really liked this chair.PROS:- thinnest profile when down of any chair I could find.- good lift capacity.- smooth, quiet, operation.- removable side wings. It's important to cover the gap between chair and tub, so they're necessary on one side, but an annoyance on the other.- decent size battery pack. I don't have a wall outlet nearby, so battery powered is a must have. Low battery indication -before- it can't do a full cycle is also a must have.- easy to separate battery pack from chair so it can be brought to a charger.- lightweight. Not really an issue once in a tub, but I appreciated it being lightweight when lifting it in and out of the tub.CONS:- there's not really any place to put the remote while using the chair. There's a cop for it in the back of the chair for storage, but that's not reachable when the chair is in use. I'm not a fan of letting it sit in the tub water, either, as I'll have to clean it more often regardless of any safety issue.- buttons are on the stiff side and I suspect they will only get harder to push with time. My 90 yr old mom lacked the strength to push the UP button, so I ultimately had to return this chair.- wheels are great for moving it around, but they also make it not want to stand upright on it's own and present a cleaning issue in the tub. If you're leaving it in the tub all the time, you don't need it to stand on it's own but you also don't need the wheels.- battery pack is in the remote. This presents a safety issue since the remote spends a lot of time in the water since there's no place to hang it.

Great product and customer service above and beyond.
What a great product and customer service. Purchased in November Of 24. i have a condition in my spine which renders my quadriceps almost useless. Several specialists have been unable to find the cause. I have been vulnerable to falls even though I have been using a walker or rolater whenever I've been on my feet. Enough about me. Have been using this floor lift not only to recover from falls but also to aid In getting down a higher than normal step which would sometimes cause falls. This floor lift has performed perfectly as advertised. I weigh 250 pounds and the floor lift doesn't seem to have any problems. Even better than the product, the customer service has been even better. I lost the battery charger and had difficulty finding a replacement. I contacted customer service. Under no obligation and even though I lost the original, Superhandy offered to send a new free replacement. Needless to say, I would highly recommend this product and company. Thank you Superhandy.

My wife can bath safely using this item.
My wife uses this to get in and out of the bath, and once or twice to get back up after a fall. Its heavy, I set the seat in the bath at full height and check that its stable. She sits on the side of the bath them turns so her legs and in the bath, then scoots over onto the seat. Then I lower the seat. Sometimes she bathes while in the lowered seat, sometimes she 'scouches' forward and I pull the seat out from the bath. Its quite heavy, she can't lift it herself, but together we figure it out. I put the seat on a bathroom mat, because it drips a lot, then when she wants out we reverse the whole procedure, with the addition of a blanket to wrap her shoulders so she doesn't get cold while the seat is elevating. Also, once time I had to raise up a heavy queen sized bed by putting longer legs on it. I put the seat under the bed and raise up the bed (as if the seat was a car-jack), then installed the longer legs. I recommend this item,

Great for lifting someone off the floor and transferring to wheelchair.
While designed for use in the bath, we have used this for elderly lift off the floor. Worked good to prevent what otherwise would have been a call for an ambulance to get off the floor.

My mom has Parkinson’s and falls a lot. It was getting harder and harder to lift her up as she was getting more and more stiff. We were so close to having to move her to an assisted living home, but then I bought this chair lift. This chair has literally bought her almost another year in her home so far! Easy to use, sturdy, and stores away nicely in her closet when not in use. She’s not able to crawl over to the chair after she’s fallen, so she still needs an able bodied person to help her onto the chair, but it’s saved our backs from lifting her ourselves. Be careful with the fold out “wings” though, they don’t attach securely to the chair. So if you accidentally step on one while trying to help your loved one onto the chair, they’ll slip out from under you. Just don’t bother using them, you really don’t need them anyways. Otherwise, this chair is perfect!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I am nearly 80, live alone and hate showers. It was getting harder and harder to get out of the tub. I researched many makes and models of lift chairs and chose this one. I have a jetted tub with many odd angles and safety handles that protrude into the interior of the tub on both sides. Fortunately, the lift still fits my tub (barely). If you have a "normal" tub there will be no problem with the fit. My tub is surrounded by a wide tile edge and the bathroom counter blocks access to much of the tub. Despite all this, the lift works! I reversed the direction and face the foot of the tub rather than the faucet. This allows me an open area to exit the tub and I also have a safety bar on the wall at that end. I love it! It lifts me to a standing position easily. I highly recommend!
