Q: Will these and the other 1st grade flash cards help prepare my daughter for the rias?

I don't know. Here we use CoGAT. My son only used 5 cards and he was not interested in those questions. He passed anyway.

Q: How does this help with gifted testing? Isn't the purpose of testing not repetition but IQ?

Depending on the type of test, this will help with the concepts found on the test and insure proper assessment of the child's ability. Do not confuse a gifted Abilities or Achievement test with an Intelligence Scales test. There is a big difference. This is Math Concepts which can prove very helpful for a variety of Achievement and Abilities tests including the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, the Terra Nova, Woodcock Johnson III and IV, as well as State Standards tests for these grade levels.
