very wide scope
OK I have quinoa bought thru the last few years, in my pantry but with no idea how to use it. It's delightful that this book has MANY differing approaches, though there are SO MANY recipes, it takes some diligence to narrow down something to try. Not for lack of directions! wow! many inspirations.

Ok
It's a thick book...500 is a lot of recipes BUT no pictures I like recipe and pic, recipe and pic...Don't expect the recipe to have a photo...it has two small parts with photos, maybe 8 photos of dishes and the recipe comes somewhere in the book... I'll cook something soon so i can give some more stars.

If you like quinoa, buy this book.
I have taken this out of the library so many times that I finally realized I needed to own it. The day before The 4th of July I had to call two libraries and then go out and pick it up because I couldn't remember all the ingredients for a quinoa salad I had made before. If you like quinoa or are looking for gluten free recipes for all types of meals, this is an exceptional book. The first 32 pages have additional info on ingredients, preparation and tips. I have made many dishes from this book and have always been satisfied { though I admit to making adjustments to suit the people I'm feeding. eg. spiciness, nuts, added protein.} PS: Everybody loved the salad on the 4th and wanted the recipe.

I'm new to quinoa
After hearing about how great quinoa is for you, and expecting company that is on a vegetarian, gluten-free diet, I ordered this book for inspiration. So far, I've only made a couple of the soups from this book. They were okay. But I guess I'm not likely to go vegetarian or gluten-free any time soon.

In Love with Quinoa
This is the only quinoa cookbook you will ever need. I've been a vegetarian for more than 25 years and have eaten quinoa for over a decade, but still I am astounded by the wealth of recipes and information in this book. I have never baked with quinoa before now--thanks to this book, I am now making quinoa flour on a regular basis in my coffee grinder and baking the most delicious, healthful breads, mufffins, flatbreads, even desserts, imaginable. I've even made the quinoa tortillas which were suprisingly easy and very, very good. An execllent resource of information as well as outstading, easy recipes.Note: the majority of the recipes are vegtarian, many are vegan; however, the recipes that use lean chicken, beef and fish are easily converted to vegetarian by using something like tofu or tempeh or beans or chickpeas in place of the meat.
