Does what is required by only allowing power charging and no data connection. Useful for when being out and about and using public charging points (eg hotels). It also solved an issue with my dash cam in my new car that has only usb c connection points. When using a standard cable, the dash cam would think it was acting as a storage device. Using this cable stops communication between car and dash cam and allows the dash cam to run normally. If it’s what you need, I’d say these are a good buy.

Useful for turning your charge cable in to a charge only cable. It can prevent loss from WiFi devices implanted in some charger cables ( spy device)

I got these to try as like many people I'm always on the move and like to try and charge my phone or powerbanks where I can on longer trips. The idea of these is to prevent the data lines on your device being used for nefarious purposes on public chargers and computers. While my modern Android phone defaults to USB Charging first when connected, a physical barrier is a handy tool. The cables themselves are of a decent quality, good housings, entry strain reliefs and a nice braided cable. In use they perform as expected with a minor issue, if the power source is not able to work out what's going on it will default to to safe low setting (possible the base 500ma), this causes the phone to report there being an issue with your charger. This seemed to mostly an issue when connecting to a PC, even over it's USB-C socket. Using it with a PD power bank or charger on the other hand was perfectly fine, the phone engaged super speed PD charging (40w on my S22 Ultra) and happily charged up in no time at all. I'll be chucking one of these into my on-the-go cable bag just in case I get caught short of power in an odd location.

Cavi testati non appena arrivati con il mio portatile aziendale, che riconosce subito eventuali dispositivi connessi e mi chiede di disconnetterli. Risultato: telefono in carica e nessun messaggio di avviso, quindi i cavi funzionano esattamente come descritto. Sono riuscito inoltre a caricare lo stesso portatile usando il cavo collegato alla powerbank (che supporta PD fino a 20w) senza problemi. Non sono certo però che funzioni con wattaggi superiori visto il limite dei 60w. In tutti i casi, considerando l'ottima qualità costruttiva non posso fare altro che consigliarli!

Ante un caso en el que nos veamos obligados a cargar nuestro dispositivo conectándolo a un puerto de carga -un cargador, un ordenador,...- que no es nuestro, contar con la seguridad de que no se va a poder acceder a ningún dato de nuestro dispositivo, ni instalarle ningún tipo de malware, me parece fundamental. Y estos latiguillos vienen a realizar justo esa función. El fabricante nos envía estos pequeños cables latiguillo USB-C macho a hembra en una cajita y nada más extraerlos podremos comprobar que presentan un grosor adecuado, que el ensamblaje entre el cable y los conectores es resistente y fuerte y que están fabricados en nylon trenzado. El funcionamiento es muy sencillo, conectamos el puerto USB-C macho del cable latiguillo al puerto de carga que nos va a suministrar energía y en el conector USB-C hembra del cable latiguillo conectamos el cable de carga de nuestro dispositivo. El cable permite PD, por lo que la carga rápida funciona. El máximo de carga que admite son 60W, lo que podría resultar insuficiente para algunos dispositivos como algunos ordenadores portátiles. En ese caso, estos cables no se podrían utilizar. En las pruebas que he hecho, he cargado un iPhone 15 -máx. 20W- y un Xiaomi Mi 10 -máx. 10W- y en ambos casos ha funcionado correctamente y ha impedido la transferencia de datos. Como curiosidad, comentaré que dada la implementación de la tecnología PD según cada fabricante, hay ocasiones en que los cargadores PD no suministran energía a ciertos dispositivos. Bien, pues en dos de estos dispositivos que son problemáticos para mí, el colocar este latiguillo ha resultado en que ha resuelto el problema y el cargador ha funcionado. En otros tres casos no, pero puede merecer la pena probar. Pros: - Diseño pequeño, buenos materiales, bien ensamblado. - Se trata de incrementar nuestra seguridad, y lo hacen muy bien. Contras: - Podemos encontrarnos con dispositivos que no carguen dada la limitación a 60W de los cables. El precio me parece muy adecuado y recomiendo el producto.
