No but it is very sturdy and very useful if you want to keep your dog close by. My dog chewed through the firstone in but she can do that so quick....but I reported it to the company and they immediately sent me a new oneno charge..........I don't think most dogs would or could to that but mine could. I love this leash for training and "control" when it's needed with strangers.
