Great straws
I’m actually really impressed. After an hour the straws start to bend/warp a slight amount but stay firm overall and really don’t have any taste. I wanted something thick and good quality while still being disposable and these fit the bill exactly. It’s a bit pricey, but I definitely would buy again. I wish they were slightly longer to fit water bottles.

Perfect size for cocktail cups
Used these straws for our engagement party to fit the black & white theme. They were perfect for the size of the cups we had. Only thing was that they opened up after a while and you could not use them anymore. I’m not sure if it was because they are biodegradable, but the longer it sat in the drink, the entire straw cracked open down the middle.

Amazing alternative to plastic straws!
imPASTA Straws Biodegradable Cocktail Straws 5.5 Inch - 100 Count, Vegan-Friendly, Gluten-Free & Compostable, Never Cracks, 100% Flavourless, Eco-Friendly Drinking Straws Alternative to Plastic StrawsI love these biodegradable straws! I really thought they were made from pasta, but they're actually made with rice, corn and bamboo charcoal. Great job, North Dakota farmers! Way to help out the environment by coming up with a solid replacement for plastic straws! These are tough and rigid, and will easily last through an entire drink or two, much better than paper straws. I specifically got these due to the "turtle approved" claim. A beach we frequent has some young men who sell fresh coconuts to tourists and when I saw them using plastic straws I started searching for alternatives to donate to them, for the sake of the marine life. We tested these, and they do break down in liquid after a few hours. Great product!

I like them
It’s a nice quality that these are biodegradable. This would be my first time using this type of product. I used them in regular drinks (non-acid, just juice and water) and they held up well. The only thing I noticed is that they started to get a slight curve shape. It didn’t affect the use of the straw though as its form was still solid. There’s no weird taste when drinking either. I throw them away after each use but my kids keep trying to save them lol. I am pleased with these and would get them again.

Drinking straws that are eco-friendly.
I was actually looking for a straw holder when I ran across these biodegradable drinking straws. I decided to try these straws out because they are so interesting to me. Each straw is 7.75” long, and each package contains 100 straws. What is really interesting is that I thought that they would feel, and taste like they were cardboard, but they don’t.The straws are flavorless, which I can attest to, they are an alternative to plastic, and they are eco-friendly. The third picture is what my straw looks like after it has been in a bottle of water for three hours. Pretty amazing. The only thing that has changed is that it is a little bit more malleable. it hasn’t degraded at all. It’s still the same size, still zero flavors, or odors coming from the straw, and there is no residue in my water. It’s just a different type of straw that’s healthier for the ecosystem. My favorite thing about these straws, is that a farmer from North Dakota, made these straws by using different products from his own land. He found a way to make the perfect straw. He did so by making a proprietary blend of gluten-free rice, corn, and bamboo charcoal, and nothing else. This is what my new straws are made of. Still, the straws have no taste, no residue, and no odor coming from them.I have to admit that these straws have really intrigued me. I love that they don’t crack. I hate straws when you squeeze a straw a little bit in order to get the paper off of it, and it cracks. Then it is useless. You don’t have that problem with these straws. They are pretty cool, and I love that they are eco-friendly. I honestly cannot say that enough. I’m also surprised at how well priced these straws are. I thought that they might be expensive because of how they are made, but they aren’t expensive at all. Quite reasonable actually. I’m a big fan of that farmer in North Dakota, and of his straws.

A thick, durable and flavorless straw
This is my first experience with eco-friendly straws. I was curious how well plant-based straws would hold up with continuous exposure to liquid. To test this, I placed an imPASTA cocktail straw in a small glass with water. The straw was probably three inches deep in water. When checked after an hour, the straw was still in good shape but would bend slightly with pressure. Still, it was perfectly useable and not showing any deterioration in the water. After three hours, there was little change visually, but the straw was breakable. I could detect decomposition of the straw after three hours but the water remained clear and I was able to draw through the straw.I was pleased that there was no undesirable flavor. It is a thick, durable straw – not wimpy at all. Even after soaking in water, there was no taste.I’m happy to have these cocktail straws for entertaining and to help minimize the plastic waste coming from my house.

Better than the long ones
Good for one drink before they split. Much worse than paper straws. The long version by this company couldn't make it through a few sips without cracking. These will usually make it through a drink but definitely not more than that. So disappointing because the paper straws are terrible. Sadly, these are worse. Hoping one day someone gets it right.
